Any quick fixes for Boost XT1031 running "stock" 5.0.2's poor battery life?

I recently upgraded my son's Moto G to the 5.0.2 soak test and unless the phone is connected to wifi, it gets no more than 4 hours of charge. If connected to wifi, it will last all day. Anybody know if a quick fix?
