Bypassing Password for Factory reset

Hi Im new and in need of some help. I bought a fire tv fully loaded with kodi and tvaddons a few months back but the fellow i bought it from has his profile on it and password locked. This was okay unitll the app he loaded the tvaddons to suddenly is not on amazon anymore. So i can not use Tvaddons to access Kodi.... Ive tried contacting him etc and nothing now Im stuck. I cant factory reset or mess with any settings as it always prompts me for a password.

Anyone know a way to bypass this or am I screwed and have a box to level out my wobbly chair
