Cubot recently has released a new smartphone, CUBOT P11, which is an entry level range smartphone but has numerous high end features. The device now has silver, golden and black options and the color of the outer box varies with these colors. The white Cubot 11 comes in a light brown golden box having a wooden contour. When we open the box, we find the phone covered in an opaque plastic cover (not sealed). Over the phone screen, a plastic transparent sticker is attached. It can be easily removed by pulling the white sticker attached at the end.
The phone itself looks glamorous on the outside. The smartphone maker definitely has made the phone look better than other phones in the same price range. On the back, we have camera sensor on the top and ROHS and Quality CE above ‘CUBOT’ logo at the bottom. Also official Cubot site address is printed at the bottom most. The edges of the back cover are well rounded to be comfortably held by hands. When the back cover is opened we see a black battery on which CUBOT logo is printed. In addition we see 2 micro SIM card slots.
The front panel of Cubot P11 uses bezel less design. The protective glass covers most of the front look. The phone is enclosed in a metal frame body that is slightly wider than the screen and has four soft edges. The metal frame is coated with bright silver color which gives it an elegant and unique look.
The Cubot P11 has a 5 inch display using OGS screen technology with a HD resolution of 720*1280 pixels. The screen supports wide viewing angles, high brightness, natural colors and good contrast. Until now we saw a lot of positives, here comes a slight downside that is not so powerful processor. Well, for 90$ you can’t expect this phone to have a powerful processor. It comes with a MediaTek MT680 quad-core processor with a clock speed of 1.3Ghz and runs on Mali-400MP GPU. The device also runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS and a battery of 2000mAh, supporting high end features such as OTG and HotKnot.
When it comes to memory, Cubot P11 is built with 1GB Ram and 8GB internal memory, which is expandable up to 32GB. The Cubot P11 has a good quality autofocus camera of 13MP with 4Plens, F/2.0 aperture, a 5MP camera in the front, and uses ISP image to capture brightness.
