Custom ROM + instructions for sony xperia x10i with no broken links for downloads

Hi i'm new to the whole custom ROM i have done a bit of reading but there is a few ways to get a custom ROM on device but most of them have broken links
i just want to know what is the best rom for my device ( Speed and stability ) and the best way to get it on my device and with active links for download
all the posts that i found is fairly old

android 2.3.3 stock rom
base 2.1.71
