Ematic EGQ-780

I'm a total newbie to rooting, as I've never attempted it before. I purchased a cheap Ematic EGQ-780 tablet; but it has very little on-board memory (8 GB). Since it's a Kit Kat tablet, I can't really utilize the SD card as I'd like to expand this tablet so I would like to root it. None of the solutions I found before (One-click Root and KingoApp) seem to support rooting this tablet (although there is an XDA thread that suggests KingoApp might work: http://forum.xda-developers.com/hard...-root-t2919878 ) seem to work. Does anyone think Framaroot will work? How should I proceed? Thanks.
