Fast charging is not working in note 4......

When i connected MY charger it will not display the pop up notification "fast charger is connected".... im using note 4 adaptive charger.it take 2 to 3 hrs to complete my full charge..why im not getting fast charge notification.
my charger and usb cable are fine which comes with my note 4.
plz solve my problem:(:(:(:(
