How to make system.img (Android Sparse Image) correctly?

Hi all, I recently making a custom rom for my zenfone 5 , I flashed official rom then boot into my custom recovery and use dd command export my system partition. And did some modifications successfully. But after I use img2simg , and use sing_dump , I found that sing2img just write empty data..

So any helps
