I got a little frustrated with the MAXX today. I gave it the OK Google Now command with screen off and Moto responded just fine, told her to "Play some Jazz" and she's like, "OK." Then silence, nothing, no music, I don't listen to Jazz because I like it, but because it calms me down and the phone at that moment gave me the opposite affect. So, I picked up the phone, and manually started Google Play Music and got my Jazz going, and tossed the phone away. It was a light toss about a foot off the ground onto a blanket I laid while I was working on a piece of furniture in the house. An hour later I picked up the phone to stop the Jazz (Chromecast to TV) and nothing, black screen, I immediately thought it was a great time for an iPhone 6S. But for sh1tz and giggles, I troubleshot the phone. When I put it on the wireless charger, the phone tries to turn on then shuts off. Battery issue, so I shook the phone and could hear something rattling in there (or it could have been just the haptic feedback motor but it felt and sounded like something else was loose). I was thinking, no way that little toss could have disconnected the battery from the motherboard, but it did. For those who knows, I broke my prior MAXX from a drop in the bathroom right onto the tile at about 4-5 feet with no visible damage but the camera started failing. Well, I took that phone apart about a thousand time trying to troubleshoot it so I know this thing like the back of my hand. Here are some pictures I took with my Moto X DE running VZW LP 5.1. The camera sucks, I've been cleared to get the iPhone 6S by the wife, so I'll probably order one from BestBuy here very shortly, whenever they become available and do the SIM swap to keep my unlimited data. Still love the MAXX though, but it is fragile, you sneeze at it wrong and it breaks!
There might have been some shorting while the connection between the battery and the motherboard was loose because the battery showed 0% while it was flashing on and off on the wireless charger. After I plugged the connector back into the motherboard, I started the phone up and was still showing 0% on the battery. I left it on the wireless charger and went on about my day, came back later and it was fully charged.
