Turn Wifi On/Off based on cell ids (Wi-Fi Matic, Smart WiFi Toggler...)

Hello,

is someone using an app like Wifi Matic or Smart Wifi Toggler to manage the Wifi state of the phone based on it's location.
I was using Wifi Matic on my previous phones without a problem, but on my Elephone P8000 it fails with no visible reason, no error messages...
To me it looks like the app is not able to control the Wifi state.
I turned off App Permissions, but it didn't make a difference.
Maybe someone here has an idea?
