Anyone tried a build.prop with a 1920 resolution?

There was this experiment to run the G3 at 1920 resolution and people got huge performance boosts (and battery life savings).
I'm wondering if anyone tried a rom with the resolition, dpi, etc set to 1920 x 1080?

Would it even work?
