gmail bug? 1/1/1970

hey guys, my father S4 started to go crazy, he's receiving many many mails, from no one, no email address, and the date is 1/1/1970....and even after you delete them many more appear again....can anyone help? some iphone users reported the same and they found a solution, but i can't find a fix for the S4......THANKS
