In developer options there are a few settings that are of interest that may affect overall performance. I've read most people recommend to force GPU rendering, but what about turning off hardware overlays? Will that help or hurt phone performance (speed, scrolling smoothness, etc)? I've read mixed things so I was hoping someone could provide a more definitive answer. Thanks!
