trying to root but get stuck in fastboot mode

Hello im trying to root my nexus 7 2013 with nexus root toolkit got 5.1.1 but when the tablet boots to fastboot mode it wont continue even that i got it unlocked tryed another tool but same problem there aswell, anyone know what i should do?
