Brightness issue

Hi!
Yesterday I've got a secondhand LG G2 (D805) and noticed that the brightness doesn't change if I move the slider above 40%. The screen brightness flickers sometimes too, as if a more annoying adaptive brightness thing.
I've already tried to go all the way back to jelly bean stock rom, but still no deal.
Someone know what is goin on with this phone? There is nothing looking bad on the insides. All the flats are well-connected and looking new.

brightness control issue

My brightness control gets mad when I go out in the sunlight . The screen is all dark , making it impossible to use. Somebody else has the same problem ?

How to improve flashlight/led brightness level?

Is there a way to improve the flashlight/led brightness level. The Z3 has the hands down worst flashlight/led I've ever used on any smartphone. I'm very disappointed with it.

Do you manually change brightness a lot?

With most Android Wear watches lacking an ambient light sensor, this Huawei one included, I'm wondering if you often have to manually adjust brightness, either not to be blinded at night, or to actually see the screen in daylight.

As far as I understand, an awake watch will get brighter, and ambient mode will be darker. There's also the double and triple crown clicks for theater (screen off) and sunlight (brighter) modes. And things like Display Brightness for Wear, or through AutoWear for finer grained and somewhat automated results.

And that's what I'm really wondering: if I can get a satisfying custom behaviour through AutoWear, by slices of day time (eg, brightest at noon, and progressively darker as night approaches), that'd be fine enough to me. But if I constantly have to adjust things manually, I fear that would quickly become annoying (I can spend a lot of energy tweaking automation to ensure I can be as lazy as can be afterwards :-p).

Do you choose a middle ground brightness setting and are fine with it most of the time, except when you rarely have to double or triple crown click? Do you find yourself manually adjusting brightness a few times a day? Do you constantly fiddle with brightness settings?

Brightness issue

I'm running stock 5.1.1, and even though my auto brightness is off my phone occasionally dims my display when it's on full brightness. It's not running particularly hot (37 degrees C according to my battery widget) so I don't know what's causing it to dim.

[Q] Xperia Ray ST18i - Extremally low brightness, almost pitch black.

Hi guys, I got a problem with my Xperia Ray phone.

I left the phone to recharge for couple of hours, when I disconnected the cable, the phone was shut down, OR with so low brightness that I thought it was turned off. At that time I hadn't noticed screen showing anything.

I thought there was some problem with the battery so I tried to recharge it with universal battery charger [I just call it a frog]. After that when I tried to turn on the phone, I noticed very very dim "SONY" and after exclamation mark in red triangle. I decided that there was software problem, so I did phone repair procedure with Sony's PC Companion.

After that the phone works perfectly, the sound, touchscreen, everything, except the screen is so dim that It's only possible to see the text on extremely bright room, I know it's weird, it should be in reverse, but I can only see the display in well lit room. I have a theory that what I'm seeing is that anti sun-flare thing [obviously incorrect definition] which makes it possible to see clearly under the sun.
Oh and it says Safe Mode on the left bottom side, I think it's because the phone is without the SIM, maybe. I'm not sure.
