samsung captivate bricked phone ! PC symbol

I got into issue while flasing samsung captivate from 2.2 to 2.3 using the thread mentioned here ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1300843)
I also went through threads to unbrick using the below threads but could not bring the phone out of it
I can get to Downloading .. prompt but cannot recover the phone

Kindly help me with this
