CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

Installation Instructions

• Download and install the latest TWRP recovery from here.


• Convert cache/data to f2fs if desired by going to Wipe->Advanced Wipe. Select cache/data then FS Options->Change FS (select F2Fs).


• Leave system as ext4 (ext4 is optimal since this partition is read-only and therefore f2fs is not supported on this partition).


• Download and install the unofficial ROM through recovery from here.


• Download and install the latest of my GApps packages from here.

NOTE: this is simply an unofficial build from the latest github sources. I claim no credit for anything other than doing a build and making a binary download available.

Xposed bootloops on Xperia Z3+ when installing a new ROM. Please see this thread for an explanation. The following commit fixes the problem (except for an initial two bootloops).

This build contains no modifications but includes the commit that is not available in the current v74 release. This enables Xposed to run on a custom ROM on Xperia Z3+.

Installation Instructions

• Reboot to TWRP


• Wipe cache and dalvik


• Install xposed-v74-sdk21-arm64-dl12345-UNOFFICIAL-20150929.zip


• Wipe cache and dalvik again for good measure


• Reboot - it will bootloop twice. On the third boot you should be ok.


• Install the XposedInstaller available for download from the official thread

[Q&A][5.1.1] Unofficial CyanogenMod 12.1 with CAF 3.4.0 kernel- Sultanxda

Recently flashed my Oneplus One with this ROM and the issues I am facing now are :

1. Phone shuts down automatically when battery is around 10%
2. While watching videos on Facebook the screen blacks out after sometime, causing the video to stop/pause.

The lastest version TWRP (2.8.7.0) or PhilZ Touch recovery is recommended.

Installation:
Clean Installation
1. Download the ROM.
2. Download the GApps.
3. Back up any and all important data.
5. WIPE DALVIK/CACHE/DATA/FACTORY RESET.
6. WIPE SYSTEM.
7. Flash the ROM in recovery.
7.1. DO NOT FIX PERMISSIONS AFTER FLASHING, doing so will cause a bootloop.
8. Flash the GApps.
9. WIPE DALVIK/CACHE (for good measure).
10. Reboot Device.

Updating from an older EOS build to new EOS build:
You can usually skip the full wipe step and just wipe both caches. If ever you encounter an issue make sure you make a full wipe first before reporting it. This is what most call "Dirty Flashing". Normally this doesn't cause problems, but keep in mind a clean flash is always the best way to go.

CM 12.1 UNOFFICIAL Camera Issue

I keep getting "Insert an SD card before using the camera." I've formatted, tried several different cards, unmounted and remounted... what can I do to fix this? I know there's other problems with the camera, I wanted to try google camera because once in a while it says something like "can't access the camera" I love it and everything works but the camera.
