Gmail stopped syncing mail for non-Google account

This thread might fit better elsewhere but I've noticed since this morning (Sept. 29) that my zenfone s gmail app has stopped syncing email for my Hotmail account. I use gmail with both my google and my hotmail account and my hotmail has been updated up until yesterday (Sept. 28). I've tried deleting app data and clearing the cache, uninstall in the updates and when I reload gmail, the inbox always syncs only up to yesterday. I've definitely received email throughout today because I've checked my hotmail account on my computer, there's all the email I received today that isn't synced and seen on my gmail app on my phone.

I updated my phone to the newest firmware on Saturday but that shouldn't be the issue as I've continued to have my email to my phone up until today. Can't remember but I might have updated the Gmail app Sunday potentially. If it's because of the app update, that should be fixed wouldn't it, if I've uninstalled all updates and then setup the account again?

VERIZON Visual Voice Mail

Does even Basic VVM work for anyone here? Google Play let me install the app but when pressing the "Subscribe to Basic Visual Voice Mail" button, after a second or two it says to call Customer Service. I don't like dealing with those people. Yes I am unlocked and rooted now but I attempted this before unlocking the bootloader.
