Cheap chrome plastic border on Flex 2

To start I've been using my Flex 2 for a few weeks. I haven't dropped the phone but have two small nicks where the phone was bumped on this chrome border. Because it's a chrome/shiny material the nicks reflect in the light. I have a case and wrestle with leaving it on because this is the best a phone has felt in my hand in a long time. The case makes it no different than any other big brick.

What I don't understand why LG makes a self healing back, a phone that has some flex, and they put this 'luxury' chrome piece of crap....lol on it. Some devices don't hold up well to abuse and this chrome band already makes my phone look older/worse than it should. I wish I could get a just a thin bumper instead of a case. Any suggestions or anyone feel the same way?

Burnt Plastic smell from my Spen ! (Note 5)

Hi . I been noticing a "brunt plastic" smell on my Spen .

Could someone check if it has the same smell?

I notice this from day 1 till now (2 weeks) and the smell has not gone away.
The smell sometimes gets very strong and i suspect its the heat from the phone heating the pen up , causing the plastic smell.
I searched forums everyhwere but cant find any topic on this issue.
I did manage to find a Note4/Note3 forum that mention that thier spen has been giving a wierd smell but not sure if its the same.

Im abit worried if its a major problem or just a normal common thing for all note 5.

Scratches on the plastic sides

Anyone notice scratches on the sides while having a case? I'm using a neo hybrid since day 1 of my device then now it has thin line scratches on the sides. \ my second culprit i think is when i clean my phone with alcohol but i don't think that will give scratches on my g4. :/
