[Official] NO Android 6.0 Marshmallow for Moto X 2013 confirmed!

Well its official. Support is now dropped in terms of major ROM updates. We're stuck, official ROM wise, on the current 5.1.

Very very disappointing as I think our devices are perfectly capable of running Marshmallow. Just proves yet again the claim that Apple have better support. I mean the 4s got the latest iOS 9. Anyway…sorry to bring the sad news guys. Cyanogenmod it is then.

Since i used the huawei mate 7, i got kinda use to not getting any updates at least in timely manner or at all to be honest, but non the less hope never dies i guess :) Do you guys think that Huawei will put out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the p8 max, having in mind that we have the 5.1.1 already, or since we are such a small market share for them they wont care to do that ? I was thinking since this is a high premium phone, they might consider it or ? Maybe if some one has some info, maybe some speculations regarding this matter (i know its super early, especially for huawei, but still) ?:)

Android 6.0 Marshmallow - will we get it?

This is a somewhat silly question, I admit. It's reasonable to assume that Huawei will provide Android 6.0 to their older phones, considering they just made the new Nexus 6P.

Or will they? What do you think? Is the Nexus 6P comparable in terms of hardware to our Mate 7? How are chances that we'll actually get Marshmallow within a reasonable time frame?

Also, what do you think - will Marshmallow make it possible that we could get a CyanogenMod installation for the Mate 7 with support for the fingerprint sensor? Or another, similar, close-to-stock Android experience?

I, for one, would rather wait for Marshmallow and stick with KitKat for the time being, hoping that the new system will improve significantly on Lollipop - and also hoping that the Nexus 6P means adoption of Marshmallow to the Mate 7 and other Huawei phones will be much quicker (and easier).

What are your thoughts?

Marshmallow question: is texting entirely by voice now possible?

I heard in Google's press announcment today that they improve the voice actions in 6.0. For those who have been using the marshmallow DP on their devices can you answer a question for me.

With Google now if you say "text <contact name>" it will prompt you to say your message. But then after you speak your message it asks you to look at the screen and verify that it is correct before sending. This is obviously not a completely hands free operation which you would need while driving, biking, running, etc.

I was just wondering if they had improved this at all?

I didn't find a thread, so I'm starting one. Marshmallow on the Moto X 2014. Timeline? Rumors? Got a port working? Hopefully we get it in shorter order than the original X got Lollipop.
