I think i soft bricked my Moto X Dev Edition XT1060 (lolipop)

So I got the OTA update to lolipop and have had nothing but wifi issues. Can't connect or stay connected to anything. I decided I'd had enough and used fastboot to try and get everything back to 4.4.4

Now I can get into the bootloader and even recovery but when I try and just boot it will show the Moto splash and then get to the Verizon screen. then it just goes black. 80% battery when I get into recovery.

I even let it go to the black screen and didn't try and turn it back on. about 45min later on my desk it tries to boot again.

Any ideas. cache has been wiped multiple times.

Think we'll ever see 6.0?

What do you think the odds of us seeing 6.0 are?

Will it be 2017 before they get around to it?

With our battery, that improved efficiency would be killer :)

I think I bricked my brand new HTC 816

Received my new Virgin Mobile HTC 816 phone yesterday afternoon and I did the following:

1 - Unlocked the bootloader
2 - Installed CWM Recovery
3 - Did an Nandroid backup of my stock rom
4 - Flashed CM-12 for the HTC 816 and rebooted

It failed to boot into CM-12 so I restored my nandroid backup of the stock rom and it booted into a white screen and stays there. None of the buttons work and I had to wait for the battery to go dead before trying to boot back into CWM Recovery. It will not boot into fastboot, only the CWM Recovery, from within CWM Recovery I can choose Fastboot from advanced but this just boots me back into Recovery, ugghhhhhhhhhh.

I think I am screwed because if I can not get back into fastboot I can not restore the stock bootloader/recovery/rom and unbrick my beautiful new 9 phone.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance.

Think I screwed up big time...

I'm trying to send my Galaxy Note 2 in for warranty. It had accepted 4.3 OTA but I had rooted it afterward. So I went to restore to stock and unroot so I could send it in. I had just recently done another Note 2 (My dads) back to stock without a hitch so I figured it would be no big deal. Except I forgot one minor detail that his phone didn't take 4.3 OTA and still had unlocked bootloader. So I opened up Odin 3.07 and put PIT file in PIT and VRAMC3 firmware in PDA and hit start and the flash failed. Took me a few seconds to realize that I flashed the wrong firmware and should've been VRUEMJ9. I was panicing and downloaded VRUEMJ9 and attempted to flash that and it wouldn't even start the flash just failed right away. Now ODIN isn't even recognizing the phone anymore. Am I totally screwed here? I've been googling furiously and it sounds like maybe cause I selected a .PIT file it may have hard bricked my device? I just instinctively did that because it was required to make it work correctly on the last phone I did just a few weeks ago.

I can still access download mode but ODIN doesn't show anything in COM window. Trying to boot phone normally shows "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please use Software Repair Assistant & try again" I've tried repeatedly restarting phone and rebooting PC and reinstalling USB drivers.

Any help GREATLY appreciated. I really really really don't have the money to pay full price for this bricked phone :(

Do you think Marshmallow will come to the SG5?

Either officially or unofficially as a ROM?

Has there been any hints of it?

US Carriers Not Ruled Out (I Think)

I chatted with a Google CS person yesterday. He said to call T-Mobile and talk with a CS rep and to complain. Today in their announcement Google said the phones will be sold through carriers outside the US and The Google Store within the US and other countries in which it conducts business. Since they are willing to sell it through carriers outside the US it tells me they aren't necessarily opposed to it. They also did not expressly say it won't be sold through US carriers (in the future). The read between the lines when taking into account what the Google CS rep said yesterday and what Google said today is that the carriers in the US are choosing not to carry it. I too am very disappointed that I cannot get it through JOD. I called T-Mobile and the CS rep hadn't even heard of the 6p and 5x. She created a ticket to send my request up the ladder. I suggest all of you do that too.

Trick App to think Phone is a Tablet?

The WatchESPN app lets you watch live programming. While attempting to watch Monday Night Football, I got a message saying something along the lines of "Not available in this device." (Yes, I have ESPN as home and was able to login with my provider in the app. I was also able to watch the pre-game show.) After further investigation, I found that in the description in the Play Store it says that NFL Monday Night Football is TABLET ONLY. Is there a way to make the app think I am using a tablet instead of a phone?

Well I think I'm screwed

So...I bought a LG G3 off ebay...come to find out it's an AS990. So I tried to follow this link:

https://www.reddit.com/r/LGG3/commen...s990_to_ls990/...I selected upgrade instead of block (according to the site). Now I think I'm screwed. I got a warning message...Not supported QEM=0. I can boot the phone, but it never gets past "configuring your phone". The phone is no longer seen as a port in Windows, and when I boot to recovery and try and update the LS990 stock rom, I get a invalid argument when mounting the sdcard. Am I totally screwed? Please help.

Think this will be sold through carriers? Right away?

I am on a contract-based family plan thing with Verizon. I still get subsidized phones. Think I will be able to get this as a cheap upgrade from Verizon right away?
