Tablet died in less than 24 hours!

Ok so got my shiny new s2 yesterday. Set it up fine then noticed this morning it was continually rebooting itself. Eventually it booted and just as I was typing something the unit froze. I turned it off by power plus volume down. Now it won't turn on at all. Completely unresponsive. Very annoying. It is currently on charge even though battery was at 85% when this problem arose.

The tablet is the 8.0 LTE variant. Any suggestions before I send it back?

Phone Died won't charge and SOLID orange light when plugged in

I have been doing a lot of research and can not find an issue exactly like mine at all!!! I need help.
So I was in the middle of texting and the HTC one M8 shut down ( I think the battery was low at the time). I put it on the factory charger that came with the unit and I get a SOLID ORANGE LIGHT, No icons, no battery images on the screen of any type. Just a solid orange light. I have tried many different charges and no luck there (as per other threads). I have tried the battery re-calibration many times - does nothing. I can not seem to get into recovery mode either, I think fast boot is on..... (has I only know to turn it off....). I have even tried leaving it on the factory charger for 3 days (I had given up and forgot about it lol) and nothing still a SOLID ORANGE LIGHT. Tried a battery re-calibrtation at this point and nothing again. Tried recovery modes at this time and still nothing...
Is the battery the culprit?
Can anyone cast a ray of hope that I can fix this thing, I NEED to get back on I have too much to loose on it :(

Phone died randomly and now won't power up/charge. Neither LED nor screen turning on.

My phone was running CM12.1 (a week old build). Obviously rooted and runs TWRP.

I texted someone and left my phone with the screen turned off for about an hour. When I tried turning on again, nothing happens. The battery was about 80% the last time I used it.

Things I've tried to get it to work:
1. Charging it with the wall charger. [Nothing happens. LED doesn't turn on, phone doesn't turn on]
2. Plugging it into my PC. [PC doesn't read it. LED/Screen unresponsive]
3. Tried vol down key + power to boot into the bootloader. [No response]
4. Tried vol down key + power, then plugged it into my PC without leaving the buttons and waited for a minute. [No response]

Can anyone explain what the hell went wrong with this? I just use my phone for calls/browsing/texting. Didn't overclock anything. It's been rooted since day 1 (2 years back), and I last installed the CM rom a week ago so it wasn't due to a bad flash.

Phone died while doing a flash restore - UH OH

Using the nexus root kit i did a flash back to factory setting - mid flash my battery died and now the phone shows no life.. is this a hard brick? What can i do from here....
