Use bigger icons home screen stock KK launcher

Is there a tweak to have 4x4 grid icons in home screen bigger than stock 5x5 - like the size you have in the app drawer when selecting big icons (4x5 grid)

[Help] Moto x1 stuck in bootloader warning screen

Moto X1(XT1053) stuck in bootloader warning screen after taking Stagefright OTA.
Normally, I can solve this issue by flashing it with latest rom but the latest rom (Stagefright fixed) is not released on Moto's website yet. So I cannot wait until that time.
Please suggest me a solution.

Can't change screen lock type

Having trouble finding anything about this on Google. I have a Verizon Edge+.

When I first got the phone, I set the screen lock type to fingerprint. Today, I set it for password. The password is all lower case, is 4 words, and has spaces in it. Now, when I try to change the screen unlock type, it says "try again". I have tried several times and am sure I'm entering the password correctly. Funny thing is, the password unlocks the phone successfully.

How can I set a lock screen with app shortcuts? (LG G2 4.4.2 KitKat)

I want to have apps shortcuts on my lock screen that not required password to active like camera and stuff but the problem is that every third party lock screen app I've downloaded had limited the pin code to only 4 digits.
the problem is that I can't use shortcuts with the default lock screen.
any suggestions?

YouTube trick for screen off playback on note 4

So I made a cool discovery. If you want the stock youtube app to play with screen off, answering a phone call with the popup panel while youtube is playing, then letting the screen turn off by auto sensor (not by manual turn off but by putting the phone to your face), then letting the other party end the call, will resume youtube with the sound playing in the background with screen off when the call ends. screen off youtube is something long coveted by youtubers, but will now get your 3rd party app pulled from the market. so to find this trick to do it on the stock youtube app was pretty funny imo. AUCU2COC6 is the firmware version I'm running. not rooted, stock everything, so SHOULD work for you.
there's possibly better ways to trigger it without calling yourself from a second phone lol, but yeah if you ever wanted to listen to youtube without figuring out a way to pocket your phone without the screen messing up, now ya know.

Samsung Galaxy S4 - Black Screen

Hi,
I've got a galaxy S4, but it has the black screen issue. I've tried doing the static clearing, charging it fully, discharging etc. So eventually I decided to buy a new LCD but that hasn't fixed the issue either. It responds to touch etc, just nothing is appearing.
Any suggestions?

Black screen, but the phone vibrates and look like its starts

Hi suddenly my Note 3 (Omega) screen turned black, it vibrates when turning on. Evene if I try go to recovery or download mode it wibrates but screen is still black. When trying to turn on the blueled llights turns on

Even if I take out the pen it vibrates, no sound at all.
Will reflashing Baseband and bootloader help, or anyone else have a solution?

Hi guys,

I accidentally sat on my Z3 Tablet (I know how that sounds, but I had it in a messenger bag - not used to carrying those - got on the bus, sat down and there it was right where it was not supposed to be) and now I got a nice case of cracked screen.

As far as I can tell only the glass is broken because the screen and digitizer still work fine and with any clue how it is built inside I am definitely capable of fixing this/replacing the glass/screen as a whole. But after looking for a while, I haven't found any teardowns/fix guides etc. Because I am reluctant to do this "blindly" (although this would be my final choice) I wanted to ask if any of you has seen something that could help me or maybe even had the same problem and fixed it?

This is my first post and usually I only read in this forum, so I want to thank all of you who participate here for the massive amount of useful information :)

Phone clicks the screen on its own randomly

My phone clicks the screen on its own randomly that I am unable to press any other button.
Because it touches the screen so fast, even the power button is not working that well at the moment.

I tried turning it off, turn it back on, and reboot but it still does not work.

I have unscrewed the back and removed the battery on my own, so I cannot even get any factory warranty.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Secondary screen lock - "SONY" - how do I remove?

Build Number 23.4.A.1.200

I've recently updated my Z2 to the above build number. Around the same time, I also added an Exchange account through my work that forces a 6-digit PIN and encryption of the phone's contents.

I find the 6-digit PIN unlock is annoying as it is because I'm used to the pattern unlock... but I've noticed that every time I type the PIN in wrong the first time, the secondary screen (pic attached) comes up and I have to type the word "SONY" (only works in upper case too!) before I can reattempt the PIN again.

I've tried to search around online but can't seem to find anything at all about that screen... :confused:

Does anyone know how to remove this secondary unlock screen so that I don't have to type "SONY"? It pretty much means I have to unlock my phone with two hands. I'm not sure if it's part of the firmware update or whether it's a security setting forced by my company policy via the Exchange settings.

I believe the purpose of the screen would be to prevent accidental entering of the PIN 5 times, for example, while it's in my pocket and subsequently causing the phone to wipe the contents.

Screen problem

Hello guys,
problem with this phone (see photo), while surfing on the internet this has happened. I disconnected the battery for a few minutes, if I turn it on or sent it into recovery same result, enters download mode but if I try to flash original firmware with and without pit file odin tells me file pit missing and gives me fail. some of you have had the same problem? someone has solved? The phone is stock, never modded. Thank you in advance.

Google Voice stuck on screen

Since the ota, if i am in google messenger and use Google voice to speak a text, close Messenger and open it back up later, the Google Voice screen pops up and will not go away till i reboot. .Booted into recovery and cleared cache and that didn't work.

[Q] Flickering screen and rebooting on a brand new H950??

Hello

A friend of mine purchased the H950 from qualitycellz on eBay, when he start using it, he noticed that the the phone reboots randomly and screen sometimes flicker.

I've CSE flashed 950PR over the ATT version cause I thought it might be software -related, but the problem continues also on the PR version...

any Ideas?

Screen timeout does not work

I recently bought an unlocked Amazon Fire phone (5; it came loaded with Fire OS 4.6.4). The phone seems solid and well-built. The only change I made to the stock phone so far was to load Google Play, using the instructions on the spinyourfire website.

I have noticed that the screen timeout does not work anymore. Whether I set the interval to 15 secs or any other setting, the phone does not go to sleep until a good 4-5 minutes have elapsed. I Googled this problem but did not find anything. Has anybody run into this, or am I overlooking something obvious? Thanks much!

Touch screen not responding neither working.

I bought a Hisense sero 7 (LE)
I used it for a couple hours and it was working fine.
The tablet suddenly froze at the lock screen and it didn't respond to my touches and didn't sleep when I pressed the lock button. I hard reseted it, went into recovery and factory reseted it. I turned it on and the screen still didn't work. I done that process again, still didn't work.
Can anybody help?
