[GUIDE] Dual Whatsapp for Dual Sim Note 5

DISCLAIMER: I am by no means taking credit for this, I am just sharing what I found because I know how hard the information can be to find on the internet. As you should already know, you are always responsible for you own device :)

So we have dual sim phones? That means 2 phone numbers right? So why not 2 Whatsapp at the same time as well?

Well the idea hit me today that I needed another Whatsapp for my second number, so I went searching again for this information and just like searching for root for my N9208 dual sim, the information was all over the place with different ways of accomplishing it. Most of the result indicated that I needed root which I was ok with because I had root, but I thought about my fellow note 5 pees who didn't have root and I found one that was so easy and didn't need root.

1. You are going to download the original Whatsapp from the play store if you don't already have it, set it up with any of the number in your dual sim and make sure its working.
Note: Skip step one (1) if you already have the original Whatsapp setup
2. Next you are going to download Whatsmapp from here or the original site here.
3. Install the Whatsmapp apk as you would any other apk.
4. Setup the Whatsmapp with your second number in your dual sim
5. Profit :)

Whatsapp notification help please

Hi all,

Recently updated to 5.1.1 on my note 4. Before the update my whatsapp notifications used to read out for each person. Like if i had multiple chat notifications in my banners, it would show the person's name along with a line of their message. But now after the 5.1.1 update it just says 4 messages from 4 chats. How do I get it back to so it shows all conversations in my banner alerts rather than just say 4 chats? So i can read some before actually going on whatsapp..

Any help would be appreciated!

Low mic gain/volume for everything (calls, whatsapp, recording...)

I just bought a new LG Leon LTE (comming from Moto Defy) and I can notice that the audio (recorded with apps, in calls, and so) is so low compared to other phones! I blow the mic and the wind noise is clearly recorded, so I guess everything is ok at a hardware level (no obstructions). But still really low gain. In Smart Voice recorder I had to put it at 4x gain to feel close to my other device. Sound quality seems ok, but the volume is not good at all.
Anyone else suffered the same? Is there a genereic way to adjust main mic gain in Android? I will root it.

Anyone else suffering the same? Mic gain is SO low compared to other devices. I'm comming from Moto Defy and I can totally hear the difference. Other people even tell me the same.
Is there any way to adjust main mic gain on Android? I will root this device.

WhatsApp voice notes too quiet

Hi there,
I'm on MinimalOS 2.5, XT1068, and my recorded WhatsApp voice notes are extremly quiet. I found out that WhatsApp is probably using the secondary mic (?) on the top of the phone and not the primary on the bottom. WhatsApp calls, video recording, normal phone calls, etc are not affected.
Is there some kind of software solution or file I can edit, that forces WhatsApp to use the primary mic?
Any help is welcome :)

[Q] Is there any way to keep 1 chat history for 2 whatsapp numbers of same contact?

Particularly when others change their whatsapp number, this will start a new chat on my phone.
However, I wanted to keep the history in one single chat as it is the same person only with a new phone number.

Help needed to find out if being blocked on Whatsapp

I want to know if this person has blocked me without calling him. Actually he lives in another country than that of mine and uses iphone 5. So far I have researched, I know that what are general indicators to know that if you have been blocked. But I got following two indicators which are contradictory to each other. That is, one implies that I am blocked while other does not.

1) Indicator implying NOT BLOCKED :
I have sent two personal messages since two days to the person. I got double tick, not blue one. OK I understand that means the messages are delivered but not read. But since two days I am not seeing any blue tick. But the person is frequently active in a 'GROUP' which includes me and he, that means he is using Whatsapp even after I sent him the messages. But as far as I have researched, if someone blocked you, you get only single tick if you sent him any message.

2)Indicator implying BLOCKED :
While researching on Internet, I found a way to find out if being blocked by following the below steps -
i) Visit the profile page of the person you think has blocked you.
ii) Click on the three dots at the top right corner and go to ' Pay for’
iii) If the person has blocked you , you will recieve the following notification.
“<person_name> isn’t able to receive a service or extension from you, but thanks for trying to help your friend”

When I followed these steps I got the same notification, which states I am blocked.

So why such contradicting indicators. Is I am really blocked or not. Please help to find out.

[Q] Notification led and whatsapp

Hi there,
I'm having an issue with notifications led.
Before, when my phone has stock ROM, red led blinks when group message received, and green led for single friend message.
The same when I got CM10.

Now, with Android Revolution HD, only blinks green led for all messages, no red led blinks for groups, even if I set it on whatsapp to red. Only got solid red when charging or have low battery.

Anyone deal with this problem? I've searching in the forum but can't find anything.

Is there a stock based KK rom that doesn't have the Whatsapp voice note bug? Where all you hear is static when you receive a VN but not when you send it. I don't have time to try out multiple roms to see which one works. Really hoping one of you guys can provide me the answer.

Whatsapp Calling Sound Issue

Hi everyone,

On my Mega 5.8, whenever I call or receive call on Whatsapp, the other person can hear me, but I can't hear the other person when I'm using the phone's earpiece. If I plug in earphones, or put the call on loudspeaker, then I can hear the other person just fine.

I know the earpiece isn't broken because it works when I make/receive cellular and facebook calls.

Does anyone know a solution to this? I've tried reinstalling whatsapp, resetting the phone to factory settings, reinserting the sim card.

I have looked to wear messenger but that doesn't work.. The original notification is running and I can only reply with voice and quick messages...

Can anyone help me with an app who works with these apps and where I can reply? :confused:

As whatsapp plus is banned !!! Plus development has stopped ... and i desperately need a themed whatsapp ... !! Whatsapp's theme can be modified by changing the colour codes in the xml file ... i dont understand those files completely. ..so can someone create a themed whatsapp with xml and just upload the file so people can enjoy the default themed whatsapp ... dat would be nice !! ;)
