Cannot hear calls after rooting Korean SM-N920K Note 5

Hi everyone. I have a Korean variant note 5 (SM-N920K). and I've rooted it with the noble kernel specifically for the K model. Everything runs fine except the fact that absolutely no sound can be heard when making calls. I flashed back to stock rom and calls work like normal, but once rooted the sound goes again. I can make calls perfectly well but it's as if the speaker for calls doesn't exist. Putting it on speakerphone doesn't help either.

Has anyone had a similar issue and knows what I might have to do to fix this? I tried flashing one of the other kernels such as arter97 but they crash the phone and I'm unable to boot up.

My version is the 64GB version...any help would be much appreciated!!

Bluetooth Remote for phone calls (mic), music control

Hi there,

I'm trying to find a bluetooth remote that sticks to my steering wheel and:

• Has a microphone for phone calls


• Connects via bluetooth and fits to my steering wheel (to use with the right hand while driving)


• Let's me: Accept calls, control volume and music (next/prev)

Is there anything like this? The closest I found is the Parrot MKI9000 - but I'm not sure if it needs wiring or not.

Not Receiving Calls

-Unlocked
-S-Off
-CM 12.1-20150929 Nightly

-I have not been receiving any calls. I am able to send calls. I am able to send and receive SMS and MMS.
-I am neither sure when this issue started, nor sure what I could have changed for the issue to be caused.

-Any help is much appreciated.

Galaxy Note 4 N910F (no service & emergency calls only)

i am using galaxy note 4 n910f variant
issue i am facing is 4 days ago my phone just randomly showed no service i thought maybe a service issue
i replaced sim for sim provider then again it started working
after a day it again didnt work till today
i have 3 sims of different service provider i have tried all in this phone didnt work
and are working in my other phone bb bold 9900

Low mic gain/volume for everything (calls, whatsapp, recording...)

I just bought a new LG Leon LTE (comming from Moto Defy) and I can notice that the audio (recorded with apps, in calls, and so) is so low compared to other phones! I blow the mic and the wind noise is clearly recorded, so I guess everything is ok at a hardware level (no obstructions). But still really low gain. In Smart Voice recorder I had to put it at 4x gain to feel close to my other device. Sound quality seems ok, but the volume is not good at all.
Anyone else suffered the same? Is there a genereic way to adjust main mic gain in Android? I will root it.

Anyone else suffering the same? Mic gain is SO low compared to other devices. I'm comming from Moto Defy and I can totally hear the difference. Other people even tell me the same.

Make all calls using google voice.

I'm having issues with the dialer using google voice to make calls. Can you guys let me know if you have this setup and working fine. I'm trying to isolate the problem. Thanks.

Mic/audio cuts out during calls

I tried to find this issue before posting a new thread (I did find an old thread with no solutions to the issue but I didnt want to try to revive a dead thread from a year ago) so I apologize in advance if this is a duplicate and if so please link me to the existing thread.

I have an on going issue that ATT has been useless with so I am reaching out to the XDA community now in hopes that I do not need to start using my phone as a door stop.

I have done a ton of research on this issue and it seem that it is software related but the few fixes that I have tried have not helped at all.

The issue is when I am talking on the phone the "mic" will cut out and sometimes so will the speaker. I can be talking just fine with no issues and then the person I am speaking with says its like I hung up. Some times I can hear the person fine but they can not hear me and other times it truly seems as if the phone was hung up. Some times the issue lasts 5 seconds other times its upwards of a minute. I am on my second phone, att was nice enough to replace it once but the issue persists on the new one as well. The issue occurs on the handset as well as bluetooth. Every so often I luck out and have no issues with a call (normally under 3 minutes) but typically when I use my phone as an actual phone the calls are longer than 10. The issue also occurs when speaker is turned on as well with the phone sitting next to me on a table so I do not think it has to do with any form of auto mute (like the old thread I found mentioned).

One of the things that I had found was to make a call with skype and it magically fixes it. Well sadly to say it I have tried that multiple times and it still did not fix it. I have tried running my phone just stock and the issue still occurs so i do not think its an issue with what is installed (mostly just google apps for work and a few games).

If any one has any ideas please let me know. At this point I am willing to try almost anything. Thanks

If you're running a custom lollipop ROM on a domestic sim unlocked SPH-L720/JFLTESPR and you're actively on a GSM network you may have trouble ending and receiving calls. I spent a bit of time looking for a solution to the problem and found a fix for KK but not LP.

Like the developer in the thread above I extracted the GSM ril libraries from a T-Mobile based lollipop ROM for the S4 and packaged them into a flashable .zip for your convenience. I hope this will be able to help anyone who has problems ending and receiving calls on a sim unlocked Sprint S4.

SM-N920k - Not hearing sounds during calls

So I bought my Note 5 N920K off eBay. The first few days it worked fine. I would say the first few weeks. Then one Saturday I was on a call and suddenly I could hear the person on the other end. I tried to call back but when the call connected, there was still no sound. I toed another phone and completed the call. I then tried to call VM as a test call. I could hear the welcome note in the first 5 seconds and then it just went quiet. I tried this again and the same results, I tried the SIM card in another phone and it worked fine. I tried another SIM card in the note and same problem. I know of someone who had a Galaxy S5 G906k with similar issues but it went away eventually. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to if this may be a HW or a SW problem?

I have samsung s3 with revoliunary s5 ROM. I didnt have this problem with my s3 before ROM, so maybe you can help me to fix this problem. The problem is that numbers are shown on incoming calls or messages instead of contact name. But it happens not on all contacts, some are displayed some are not. Maybe its because numbers in my contacts starts without country code, and on incoming call phone shows number starting with country code (+countrycode)*number** . Its something with number formatting but I didnt have this problem on stock/previous custom roms, somehow they recognized who's calling and displayed contact not number, dispite how it was saved(with or without country code at the beggining of number). Is there something I could do ? I really appreciate your help.

Calls, 3g, messages... all working FINE but imei is just /01

Problem is that when i try to log on to viber, it doesnt work because imei is lost

Proximity sensor doesn't work during phone calls

My screen goes black when I am in a phone call and it does not turn on unless I hold the power button or something like that. I have already went to the proximity settings to test that it is working.

Missed calls notification

Hi guys,

I only got 1+2 just a day back and am still trying to set it up.. So please bear with me..

If my phone is locked and i get some voice call which i didn't answer, then it is treating it as missed call.

But when my phone is unlocked and get voice call which i didn't answer, 1+2 is not treating as a missed call. It is treating it as received call. Is it just me ? Is there any app to treat it as missed call.

when my phone is on LTE mode i'am unable to make/receive calls.
