Continue only if you have messed with the /system partition (and don't remember what you changed) and you are on 5.1.1 this will remove root but you will keep your data

Okay well now

1. Make sure you have a Windows PC


2. Download the LG Drivers from here


3. Download this 5.1.1 ZV5 System.img <-----link coming very soon


4. Place downloaded img to your external SD via adapter or through a spare phone you have


5. Now place SD back into your phone


6. Reboot your device into download mode


7. Download this folder and unzip it to your desktop:


8. Run ports.bat from within the extracted folder, to find your correct port (use the one with: LGVZANDNETDIAG1)


9. In the LG_Root folder hold shift and right click and choose open command windows here


10. Type
    
    

    Code:

    
    

    ---

    Send_Command.exe \.\COM6

    ---

    
    
    (Make sure your COM port number is correct, it varies)


11. Type

    ---

    dd if=/storage/external_SD/system.img bs=8192 seek=42816 count=327680 of=/dev/block/mmcblk0

    you will see a flashing _ line instead of the # let it do it's thing you will know it finished when the # shows back up


12. Type

    LEAVE

    and press enter and let your device reboot

help with making a stock based custom rom for the Boost Stylo

so basically on the Sprint LG G4 (locked bootloader like us with Boost/Sprint) they are able to flash a stock based custom rom via Send_Command with a DD code http://forum.xda-developers.com/spri...91-g4-t3211725

so in theory we should be able to do the same since i have flashed the stock rom as well via this method...so i just need help on debloating the stock.img to try this myself...like how would i go about this?

Question before activating Boost (xt1031)

I'm currently running stock 5.1 soak test and was wondering would I need to downgrade to KitKat before activating my device?

Any quick fixes for Boost XT1031 running "stock" 5.0.2's poor battery life?

I recently upgraded my son's Moto G to the 5.0.2 soak test and unless the phone is connected to wifi, it gets no more than 4 hours of charge. If connected to wifi, it will last all day. Anybody know if a quick fix?

So as you know, from one of many things, I'll be working on something really nice that I tried to do, back in the days. Not Apollo, unfortunately for all these people waiting, or not, I've been working on the torch boost. I've done aroma one that had multiple choice options,but unfortunately you had to do all of this, manually because aroma is not being that good. This time you won't even have to go to the recovery! Simple root on your phone, locked bootloader will do the job. You'll more likely have a root than recovery, especially at the start of your journey. First up it will only work for c6903 lollipop, as it'll be still in alpha, ad free for a single, but most popular Z1 shared entirely on xda. Then after that we'll roll it on Google play, ad supported but compatible on many sony devices. Then, something big will come, part after part, but a game changer for android.


Get ready for it.

TLDR; C6903 LP on any stock Sony rooted LP (android 5.x+) you Install the app use it and you're good. No recovery, no bull****. Will extend to other devices as soon as it's get enough testing. The sooner you try it, the sooner it will expand.

I'm stuck in a boot loop it will go to the home screen for a few seconds time seems to vary and then it just reboots I have developer options I have everything checked and selected that should help me connect to the ADB bridge but nothing seems to work I have the unbrick tool and it just will not connect to my phone when I go into DFU mode its just a black screen with a red light it does not connect to my PC when I go into ftm mode same thing it will not connect and I cannot get into recovery this happened when I flashed the Phils custom recovery with flashify in the methods that everyone said to work from this form as soon as the recovery was installed the phone shut down and has rebooted ever since I'm freaking out its not my phone please someone tell me what to do
