Question on Custom Roms

Always wanted a Nexus but availability issues has stopped me. The 6P will be the first Nexus to launch locally and I really want to get it. However, I've heard ParanoidAndroid(fav. custom rom) is no longer in the scene and are working with OnePlus now. What other customs roms are still operating other than Cyanogen? Which would be recommended for Nexus devices? I know PA was more or less exclusively on Nexus/OnePlus devices.

Custom ROM with Ambient Display and CM engine

Do know what Custom ROM have both Ambient Display work properly and CM theme engine?

So far the only Rom has Ambient Display (that I know) is Omnirom, but it is pure AOSP, no CM theme engine.

I Install cinafire 3d and its say to install cf3d i click and its go recovery and flashed file automatic

Then i reboot then just light on but not load home screen or system

I do factory reset and also restored nandroid backup

But still not working

Please help me fast

hi, im obviously do not belong in these section but anyways, my friend had a s3 and its from verizon i think. since verizon sim does not work here in the philippines, i wanted to know if simunlock is already included in custom roms or do i need to simunlock the phone then flash rom again or stuff like that. thanks in advance

I haven't been on the Android scene in over an year and I am keen on moving back to Android, most likely via the 6P.

My favourite custom rom was ParanoidAndroid which I was sad to hear went on to join OnePlue and do the Oxygen OS. Most other custom roms websites I visited hasn't updated since April-July 2015. For me, one of the unique joys of owning an Android device is flashing custom roms, sometimes a new one every day. However, from what I see, other than the custom roms build by individual members, I don't see a group doing custom roms anymore. Am I wrong?

HELP, HTC ONE M8 stucked with a custom recovery and no root!

a few months ago i decided to return stock to get the OTA update for lollipop, everything went good but the OTA update for 4.4.4 can't be installed I don't know why, after some attempts i got a custom recovery without the root impossibilited to return to stock recovery and with the 4.4.3 kitkat and 2.22.401.5 firmware... if someone can help me i'll appreciate

Is there any Kernel available for our device? That is compatible with 4.43 and 5.1.1 Stock or custom roms? Can someone make it? Hehe. Thanks.

- A very fast kernel that improves Ui smoothness and performance without overclocking Cpu and Gpu. Like other phones that has similar specs.
- CPU Overclock to 1.6 GHz.
- Adreno 305 Overclock to 500 MHz or higher that won't affect phones lifespan. (Galaxy Mega 6.3 has Gpu clock at 500 MHz so it's possible for our device.)
- An equal or better Battery Life.

Xperia L custom ROM can't install

I have rooted and unlock boat loader for my phone C2105 at 15.3.1.A.14
Installed thunderzap as per guide "http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/general/guide-to-running-android-lollipop-t3041413" however when I install zip (pa_taoshan-5.1-20150822.zip) or cm12.1 , it always hangs after "patching system image unconditionally"........
After this nothing happens and have to take battery off which makes phone soft bricked (does not go beyond SONY or in case of thunderzap stucks on its logo) and I have to flash ftf using flashtool.

This has happened repeatedly with cwm, twrp (installed using Recovery-Installer-1.8-XL).

I can't flash custom ROMs to my AT&T nexus 6??

I've tried multiple times to flash cyanogenmod 12 to my nexus, but it fails every time. I'm running with TWRP custom recovery, and have tried flashify as . I have also tried to do it using my Mac (hate rains down) but to no avail. Am I doing something wrong? Or does it have to do with it being carrier locked? Please help.

Custom Rom and Kies

Firstly, I would like to apologies for asking so many questions like i said in previous post I'm new to all this.

What I need help with is, I have updated my phone to CM12 android 5.1.1. However when I am trying to restore my original phone backup I did with Kies. Kies does not seem to respond and is always just stuck on the connecting screen and not recognise the device. I really need the back up information back on my phone. I would like my messages, calender, call logs etc (all the backup information Kies does)

How can I solve this?

I have rooted .378 FW, and im trying to flash Pre rooted 5.0.2. but I cant get custon recovery to work, Im trying to use TWRP. Everytime I press "reboot into recovery" it just reboots my phone like normal...Someone helppppppp

Restoring backup after flashing a custom rom

Hello im using an SGS5 and i am planning to flash the cleanROM rom to my device.
Now i was told that after i flash the rom my device will be wiped though i was thinking is it possible to first backup the device and after that flashing the rom wiping every thing and then restoring the backup (twrp backup).
Im using as i said befor the SGS5 running kitkat 4.4.2.
And it will be nice if somone can give me a link to where i can dowbload or even give me ideas for other ROMS that can make my device faster and have better battery life thank you for your help and have a great day.
