International Galaxy Note 5 N920i on US AT&T - Updates?

Hi,

If I was to pick up an international Note 5 (N920i) for use in the USA on AT&T, how would updates work? The theories I have is that either:

1. The device will never get updates


2. Samsung will release updates directly to the device


3. I will have to use custom ROMs for updates

Given that I will root the device (thus the reason for buying the international model), I'm assuming #3 will be the correct path. However, I understand I could run a modified kernel with the stock ROM to allow that, and there only seems to be one ROM outside of the carrier (AT&T/T-Mobile) threads. Could I use an AT&T carrier ROM?

I'm just trying to understand all my options if I walk down this path.

Receiving Moto E OTA genuine updates even after rooting..

Friends...I've got few doubts regarding flashing my moto E first gen running on lollipop 5.1..I wish to root my phone...I've read on this site about flashing my phone..but few things are not clear..
1. I wish to maintain originality of android lollipop without any modifications but with root access...means I don't wish to flash my phone with ANY CFW after rooting..is this possible?
2. Is it possible to get genuine OTA updates from Motorola even after rooting my phone?
Please clear my doubts so that I can move ahead with rooting..thanking you...

Latest updates busted magnetic cover wakeup?

I've been getting a lot of android 5 updates recently, and on both my 2013 and original Nexus 7, the magnetic covers no longer seem to wake the tablets. I wouldn't think the sensors in both of them would break at the same time :). I remember the tablet had this problem when it was first released, then updates fixed it. Have they gone back to the original code again to preserve battery time or something? Has anyone else seen this?

Where to follow root updates, news, etc?

Just wondering if there's a thread I can follow about anyone working on lollipop 5.0.2 root. News, updates, anything really. Want to be able to root as soon as someone figures it out. Ota removed root from lg gpad 7.0 v410 now running 5.0.2 kernel 3.4.0+.
I've tried every method available, with no success.

Since OnePlus don't appear to provide download links for their Oxygen OS ROMS & OTA Update zips, I've mirrored them all on AndroidFileHost and put the links in one post so that they're easy to find.

There are two types of file for each ROM: signed flashable zips and OTA incremental update zips.

Signed flashable zips: Normal recovery-flashable zips that won't overwrite your data partition. These can be flashed via stock or TWRP custom recovery.

OTA incremental update zips: These are recovery-flashable zips that update your rom to a newer version. These can only be flashed on non-rooted devices with no modifications to system files.
