Samsung Galaxy S4 i9505 Verizon SCH-I545 Confusion Solved

Its my first thread so if there is anything untold, don't hesitate asking ;)

First of all, this post is specially for users out of USA (Specially for users in Pakistan & India) I've been through this process as i have a Samsung Galaxy SCH-I545, but i was confused as under the battery and in info it showed model number as I9505 but in Recovery it showed SCH-I545

Reason of problem:
The main reason of this confusion are Cellphone importers as they convert Glaxy SCH-i545 to international Version GT-I9505 just for few more bucks,

How to determine which model do you have:
If you own a Glaxy S4 i9505
1: Power Off Phone
2: Take Battery Out
3: Look if there is written
Made in Vietnam By Samsung
4: Start Phone in Recovery by Pressing Volume Down + Power Button + Home
5: it must show there model as SCH-I545
6: & if you have a bootloader locked on Verizon
7: Download Phone Info Samsung and verify if your device is named as jfltevzw

EG: Device Type: jfltevzw
Product Name: jfltevzw

If it is so, you surely have a Glaxy SCH-i545
Get a Lollipop ROM for your SCH-I545 and flash it,

LG G4 IMS problems - solved

All,

I, like others have had a living nightmare with repeated 'Unfortunately LG IMS has stopped working' which keeps popping up every few seconds. I noticed it happened after wifi lost connection, and the network switched to mobile data. Most annoying as I was having to press it up to 20 times when in car as I was driving along!!! I was so desperate I even asked LG for help, and at one point considered reading the manual :mad:

I tried everything - even factory reset and nothing worked.

Mine is a LG 818N dual sim model imported into UK, (running on Sim1 - three and Sim2 o2) so not sure if this is factor.

I think I have found a solution at last.

Go into the hidden menu - on phone dialler, dial 277634#*#

When in the menu, select Field test > Modem settings > VoLTE on/off > Subscriber and untick IMS to disable it. I restarted the phone, and the annoying messages were gone.

I believe IMS can be turned off without any major loss of functionality - if anyone knows the effect, please post here for others. So far I can't see any difference other than I can use my phone again

Successfully downgrade from BOG5 Kernel to ANY Kernel. (Solved)

Recently Verizon has shown their true colors. They do NOT want to give us control of a device that we bought and paid for. (That's like buying a radio that only plays Country).

In my eyes. If we pay you monthly then why do you care what we do with our device? We own it right?

However, after days of researching and very knowledgeable co-workers..... The solution is here.

ODIN 3.10. That's Correct. ODIN 3.10 has the ability to look past the locked bootloader and grant access to roll back. This was not made to be public but (Thank GOD) was leaked on Aug 26th.

I have not yet tried to root after rolling back to the BOA8 Kernel. Anyone want to test this out and let me know if you were able to root after downgrading?
