Is GFE (Good app for Enterprise) working with rooted lolipop?

I have a Samsung S5 (Sprint) SM-G900P running on Moar v7.0 OA6 Lolipop 5.0.

I am going to be getting the Good App (GFE) installed for work & wanted to find out if anyone has been using GFE on a rooted Lolipop device.

Accidentally Soft Bricked Tab S 8.4; tried firmware and PIT flash, no good.

I was given a Galaxy Tab S by a relative who works in a cell phone store. It was a demo device, and it had demo mode enabled. I initially attempted to reboot into recovery and do a wipe from there, but an error came up informing me that "MDM" had blocked this option (I assume MDM to mean manufacturer demo mode). The tablet was still working at this point, so I rebooted and got the exact model number, SM-T700. I googled for a bit and found the recommendation to be to reinstall the firmware. I've done a lot of ODIN flashes before, so I downloaded the correct firmware from the official firmware post here on XDA, rebooted to download mode, and flashed it without issues.

After 30 minutes, the tablet still just showed the Samsung boot screen. I did a hard reboot with volume up + power, and left it. After another 30 minutes, it still didn't show anything. I rebooted to download mode and tried flashing again. Same result. I rebooted to recovery and tried to wipe the device from there. MDM block.

After more searching, I decided to use the PIT file and the firmware file in ODIN. I've had to use PIT files a couple times before, so I was very careful in checking to ensure I had the correct one. I am very confident I did. I flashed that, and still the tablet would not boot.

I then decided to install TWRP and see if I could wipe from there. TWRP gave me some useful information: it returned that it could not mount any of the partitions on the device. 'could not mount /system', 'could not mount /data', etc.

I've done a lot of googling and reading since then, but I can't seem to find anybody else with the result. The closest thing I can find is a similar situation on some ASUS tablets, but the solution would definitely not work here. The only other thing I can find is people recommending to flash the PIT file, which I have no tried a second time and still does not work.

Does anybody have any suggestions? I don't know what else to do.

hey I recently rooted my galaxy tab 4 sm-t530 and installed twrp recovery and cant seem to find any good custom roms. I'm looking for a rom close to stock lollipop. any help is appreciated :)

Your opinion, is the X 2014 still a good phone to buy to-date?

After a very disappointing event (Nexus wise) Google showcased today, I'm leaning toward the X 2014 Pure Edition. I've already made mine on Moto Maker and just waiting to pull the trigger.

I've had every nexus since the N1 but skipped out on the N6 due to its size. Now this year looks like I'm going to skip out again; the 5x doesnt have much more to offer than my current N5, the 6p (given has slightly better specs) is still too big for me. Mind you, I'm 6'6" with large hands, however I dont like big phones.. I dont like the fact I have to use finger-gymnastics to navigate the screen.

Anyways, given the stouter (sp?, word? lol) body of the X and its 5.2 display, it feels amazing. Quite perfect, actually... Reminds me of the G3; shorter body but housed a 5.5.. Amazing. And I really like the design of the moto x/n6 as well. minimal bezel, attractive, etc.

Given now this phone is a year old, would you still buy it today? I just want a 'new' device (the n5 has been great, treated me very nicely still runs perfect running 6.0 now), and I've always wanted to make my own moto x (always been a moto fan) but given what i do to phones and how i use them, the nexus always took my money. Since moto is pure Android out of the box, I think I can manage going away from a nexus this year.

Since the Moto Pure (2015) is too big, I've decided to maybe jump to the 2014 until next years moto or nexus..

Thoughts?

Zenpad S8 great hardware at a good £££

I decided to purchase the 2gb ram version of the zenpad S8,the 4gb ram isn't available in UK .....yet....
The 2k display is gorgeous especially when watching a 5gb MKV files like The Avenger's on it,smooth and not stuttering. 32 gig on board and a slot for a micro SD card is a great bonus .
Hardware wise is quite solid ...thin..light ,compared to my aging N7 feels premium.
Unfortunately the software is super bloated and I was forced to disable and unistall as much as I could to make the tablet a bit more lively.
For the £200 price I think is a great buy ,the hardware as a lot of potential, I like the new type c charging port a lot,no NFC isn't a big deal in my opinion.
If the xda ROMs developers jumps on it with creating custom ROMs this tablet should fly .
And let not forget the front facing speakers.... They sound great.

Where to buy good quality screen replacement?

Hi group,

I got for free a white N7 32GB with a broken screen, I bought a replacement on eBay and replaced it (damn glue!!!), it works fine, but compared to another N7 it is very "yellowish" and after a few days a dead pixel appeared.

I did only reuse few glue that remained on the plastic frame so I can easily change screen, I was wondering where can I buy a nice quality screen? Mind you I am in Canada so the best for me is eBay or some US merchant that offer cheap shipping to Canada (it is silly to pay shipping on a screen for a N7:p)

I have verizon and planned on just using as a WiFi paired device, buying it I found out it has an outstanding balance on the original owners sprint account. Since I'll never use it with sprint as it's own line, did I still get as good of a deal as I thought?

All I want for Christmas is a good Note 4 port.

I've been running a nice 9005 Note 4 port for quite some time now, but it's a Chinese port so some Samsung and Note features just aren't usable. No samsung assist, no NFC...that kind of thing.
It would REALLY be great to have a Note 4 port with S6 features that include Samsung apps for our N900T. If we have one, and I'm missing it somehow, could someone point me in the right direction?

Looking for a good leather book style case with belt clip in the UK

Hi all I took the plunge and got the s6 but have yet to find a good leather (or similar) case with a belt clip thats a book style... one that isnt that new fad crappy sticky system to hold the phone in the case too but something that supports and holds the phone safely (pdair what the hell were you thinking)... I had one from pdair that was brill for the s4... got an olixar for now and its nice but no belt clip (although thinking I will super glue a bit on the back as have a spare clip or two lying around)... many thanks...
