Note Edge or Note 4? Looking for input

Hi guys, I'm looking for input on my next phone. I've read through the edge vs note 4 threads but most are almost a year old so I'm looking for some updated info.

I currently have an S4 and have narrowed down my future options to the Edge and Note 4. I like the idea of having the edge screen but wondering if it's actually useful. Some comments in the old threads mentioned the lack of development for the Edge. Is that still true? I don't do anything crazy with my S4...It's rooted and I really like xposed and wanam. I haven't done ROMs or anything like that.

I guess my main question boils down to...can I root an Edge and have xposed? Is there anything else I should know about or take into account when evaluating the two phone options?

All-

Verizon Galaxy S5, rooted stock NI2 (KTU84P.G900VVRU1ANI2), stock recovery. Did this sometime last year (back when NI2 was the newest), don't necessarily remember the steps, but it involved downgrading+towelroot+upgrading. Everything's been fine, until I decided to try and free up some internal memory by using TitaniumBackup (pro) to move apps to ROM. Got about 1/3 of the way through, started getting all sorts of G service/app bombs (specifically around Google Play Services plus a few others), and the process never completed. Had almost constant popups about Google+, Google Maps, and Play Services. Searched for quite a while on fixes for this- didn't seem like there were any I could use.

Here's what I've tried:
- clear cache from recovery, no change (figured I'd give it a shot)
- reloaded NI2 stock kernel md5 via ODIN, no change (guessing since I've got a broader ROM issue)
- attempted loading GAPPS via sd card via recovery- no dice since stock recovery fails on signature/verification
- backed up apps/data with Titanium, and factory refresh from recovery- still same issue ("error occurred during installation of Google+... uninstall and install again")

At this point, I can't get to Play Store to do any installations from there. I'm not too interested in getting on Lollipop, and would be happy getting back to where I was before (NI2+root). Since I'm already rooted, I searched and couldn't find something like a "NI2 rooted ROM", and think my only option at this point is to ODIN a full stock NCG retail tar, and follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2784880, which I'm still reading through, but which will basically be a towelroot of NCG and upgrade from there.

Is this my only option, or is there a way to blast the ROM to the extent that I keep root but my system issues are fixed?

Looking For Mostly Stock With Tether 5.01 OH1 ROM

I like to keep my phone mostly stock with some goodies like root, tether and 5 way boot and then remove the APP's I don't want. I have searched quite a bit looking for a ROM like this but no luck. Anyone planning on making a ROM like this? I'm sure a lot of people would appreciate it especially myself. :D

Hi, few days ago I began working on a port of the 3.10 linux kernel for victara. I think it could be interesting as this version brings up some nice features. But it is still cool to get a more up to date kernel anyway. Unfortunately, the kernel is stuck to 3.4.y now so I'm posting here and hope interested people will help me, because this task takes a lot of time and there is some difficulties. I'm looking more for enthusiasts with some general and also Linux kernel specific knowledge but anyone who really wants to help is welcome, I think this will be very fun and we will share a lot of knowledge. The game’s core is totally done, as well as the UI. The only things that have still to be done are embellish the UI a little bit and clean up some parts of the game. Here is were I need you all! [Q] looking for rooted app to save battery with changing the clock on cpu.

I'm looking for a app that can change the clock of my cpu with a push of a button, so i can save battery like we used to have on Jelly Bean the "Power Saving mode" button.

I'm new to android 4.4.4 always used 4.1.2, recently i changed my ROM and can't find any app or configuration on android similar to what used to be.

Edit: i'm aware about SetCPU app, but its not free and as far i know it uses profiles and is not like a button that i can instantly push and change my clock.

Does anyone have the ZVB tot. I see the ZVA-to-ZVB update zip but it say forbidden when I try to download that. For some reason I cannot get the update OTA... maybe it isn't pushed to the tower that I'm using yet?

A Decent looking flip cover

Hello so with my Moto x style on its way i have been hunting for a good looking flip cover.
But the ones i have found so far look super cheap and ugly adding a fair bit of bulk to the device.

Im looking for something like the flip cover you can get for the one plus one from there store its sleek black adds little to no extra bulk.
Has hardly any over hang and most important the phone is firmly in place and wont fall out.

I have been looking on both ebay and amazon and done a general google search without much luck.

Looking for a remote (at best Samsung Sidesync kind of) app for Win 10 Mobile

I enjoy and am also somewhat forced to use Samsungs Sidesync (that´s the only reason i stick to android over apple/ms phones) on a regular base.
Simply question that i was not able to find an answer for: Is there something similar for Win10Mobile? And, well ..if not: Is that even possible given it´s architecture?

Looking for a recommendation for a charging dock

I'm looking for a charging dock that I can use on my night stand. I want to charge my phone and use it as a clock. I'm looking at the AEDILYS Universal Micro USB Charging Dock on Amazon, but was hoping someone else might have some suggestions.

If not I'll just grab this and post a review.

evo design looking for fast rom w/ speech recognition

phone is rooted i've been running rom found at h**p://androidforums.com/threads/rom-forgottenkingdom.712740/ The rom is based off android 4.0.3. So, this being the case, is there a simple way to add speech recognition to the rom? If not can someone please point me to a good rom that does have speech recognition? I really do not want to go to a rooted version the stock rom. I will not be the owner of a phone without admin rights/privileges. For me the lack of speech recognition is a deal breaker. I'm hoping for the latest best kernal the phone can accommodate & fast/quick response & robust (glitch proof crash proof)

I'm looking for developers willing and able to help with a project.

I'll start by saying, this is a Atheist oriented project focused on atheist related issues. You don't need to be atheist to help, but at least opened minded to others beliefs, or lack there of.

I'm heading this project for the time being. Its my idea, but its beyond my depth. I don't have the skill set to pull this off on my own. I'll take a step back and allow someone who's capable of heading this, once I find one. I can help in other areas, mostly design.

I have two other developers on board already. Capable of developing Android and WP apps. I have done some Android developing on my own, but I'm a amateur at coding.

Will be building a website, paired with some mobile apps. Focused on help and information forums, local community forums, Atheist related news articles, Articles on atheism, etc without getting into it to deeply on what we're trying to do. Its open for discussion.
