Help with options after brick

I recently soft bricked my phone. I cannot get the software running to fix this issue, therefor I am giving up. I have a couple of questions.
1) Could I put my 2 year contract sim card into an unlocked phone and run it?(just reassuring, as I don't want to buy something and not be able to use it)
2) If so, do adapters for micro sim to sim exist, or can I buy a micro sim phone?

**NOTE** I apologize if anything in this question is confusing, or downright obvious, as I am kind of disgruntled for various reasons.

Enabling accessibility options

When I try to turn on accessibility settings like for nova launcher or greenify I move the slider to the right and a box pops up giving me the options of yes or cancel. When I try to hit yes nothing happens so I have to hit cancel to close the box.

Any help is very appreciated. (Not rooted).

SDcard options with Root?

I have a Galaxy S5 on Sprint's network which is currently not rooted and completely stock. Problem is the storage on the phone is only 16GB which can be quite limiting at times. I know I can move some applications to the SD card however even when moving the applications it leaves a chunk of the program on the internal storage plus any app upgrade gets installed on the internal flash not the SD card.

What I'm hoping to do is
1) keep the stock software (possibly remove some of the bloatware)
2) use the microSD card for all applications instead of the internal flash (I have a class 10 64GB MicroSD card)
3) retain use of google pay (I think this can be done with root blockers/hiders?)

So is the above possible? How would I go about doing the above?

If I do root the phone I believe the phone will then indicate that its been tampered with (Knox?) can this indicator later be reversed? reinstalling the original Samsung software, or is this a permanent side effect of rooting?

DAC Options for our new Type-C connector?

I'm hoping that with the new USB Type-C connector and Power Delivery 2.0, someone will finally make my ideal type of DAC for phone use in the car:

USB input for powering DAC from cigarette lighter adapter (2.1A)
USB input/output for connection to Type-C jack on phone - phone sends digital audio to DAC, and phone simultaneously charges at (relatively) high power thanks to Power Delivery 2.0
3.5mm audio line out - connect to car AUX input

Currently the DACs I find that come closest to meeting this are the FiiO E18 and the Creative Labs E5, but both add a lot of expense and complexity in trying to be everything to everyone (internal battery for portable use, headphone amp with volume control, etc.). Reviews also state that using them with a phone while also charging the phone can be very touchy.

Is anyone else looking for something like this, or have ideas about where it can already be found? I'm not averse to using a portable DAC in the car, but I want the phone charging to be pretty bulletproof. :good:

Lollipop 5.0.2 on new at&t One m8 , show all sd card options DISABLED, help please!!!

Hi I bought a new AT&t -Unlocked One m8 with lollipop 5.0.2 already installed, in fact o blught 2 of them, one perfectly reads sd cards, allow to use storage, while the other don t even hace sd card option enabled ( every storage options bu internal storage es DISABLED and don t know how can i enable it since i don t have any visible option to do it! Please if someone can help me Ill be more than thanked!!!!!!!

OEM Unlock isn't an option after enabling developer options

I am trying to unlock download mode on my HTC One M9 running 5.1 in order to root, but when I try to get an identifier token from htc via cmd, it comes up with an error about enabling oem unlocker. I've scoured my dev options but cannot find this checkbox. Is anyone else having this problem or know a solution?

Stylus options

I'd like to be able to sketch using a stylus, anybody have any recommendations for one or experience doing this? What about cases that hold a stylus?

Options for controlling app permissions

I love this phone, but the stock ROM seems to be missing the bits needed for the various App Ops programs to work. I've been running AOSP/AOKP/AICP ROMs for so long now, I totally forgot that the permissions code had been removed.

Is there any way to add the code back, so these apps will work again?

[Q] s4 SGH-I337 GoldenEye v53 rom install/ options question

when installing the rom you're given the choice to have the rom configured with either "s4 recents" or "s5 recents". i chose the s5 option, can't stand it, and was hoping to change this from within the rom or by modifying something using Root Explorer or something.

am i going to have to reinstall the rom or can this be accomplished in some other manner?

N9208 : custom kernel / root options?

I have been reading every single topic on XDA for the past week or so to find out any way of rooting my new N9208 and/or an option for flashing a custom kernel. Haven't found a way yet.

Within the 2 or 3 kernel threads there is mention of the specific Note 5 versions the kernel is compatible with, but none have the N9208 on that list. Maybe...just maybe someone has gotten the cojones and flashed a particular custom kernel on his N9208 with good results...

So the question really is, has anyone rooted and/or flashed custom kernel on their N9208 yet? And if so, how did you do it?

Looking forward to any replies...can't wait to finally root/custom kernel my Note 5 :)

Btw duosim support is not important for me personally...so if the kernel breaks this, I have no problem with that at all.
