I9100 lollipop on Sprint S2 epic 4G touch

I have been looking for a lollipop ROM to use on my old Sprint S2 E4GT SPH-D710 that isn't an activated device anymore, I can only find 4.4.4 and under for the D710 and I would rather have LP. I flashed an i9100 C-ROM 4.4.4 on it once and I remember it flashing fine and receiving signal but some things were backwards like screen rotation and hardware/soft keys, when device was straight up the screen would rotate upside down, I don't remember any other issues of any consequence though.

My question is what all do I need to change for the i9100 ROM to work on my D710. All I need it to do is work on WiFi and have Bluetooth function and have the keys function correctly for my device. Can anyone tell me what significant differences there are that I need to edit before flashing so as not to cause issues. I'm surprised my device didn't bootloop with the I9100 or even flash at all, not to mention that it was still seeing the network.

Any advice on what has to be changed to compensate for the slight differences between the devices would be much appreciated, thanks.

Touch screen not responding neither working.

I bought a Hisense sero 7 (LE)
I used it for a couple hours and it was working fine.
The tablet suddenly froze at the lock screen and it didn't respond to my touches and didn't sleep when I pressed the lock button. I hard reseted it, went into recovery and factory reseted it. I turned it on and the screen still didn't work. I done that process again, still didn't work.
Can anybody help?

Huawei Ascend P6 Touch Panel Problem

Hi Friends,
Would be great if somebody could help me!
At the left bottom part of the screen, the step-back arrow does not work properly at browser screen. It must be pushed quite strongly to let it work, while the right arrow, the step-forward one works with the slightest touch. For safety sake I tried the smae part of the touch-screen at the normal key-pad, when writing sms. There were no problem at all! What do you think about it? Is ita fatal problem, the whole touch screen must be changed? Or?

CONFIRMED! Alcatel One Touch Idol 3 IS NOT getting Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update.

Hi. I own the 5.5' Idol 3 (6045Y).
This is just some information I received about three weeks ago and I just wanted to share it.
This is the official response that I got from the Alcatel One Touch team on Facebook.
I was thinking about buying the idol 3 (despite the many reviews where the laggy performance is mentioned, which is somewhat true).
Nevertheless, I bought it. For the price it has some unbeatable specs which don't quite perform as they should due to lack of optimization. If they did, this device would be excellent. Moto G (3rd gen) is the perfect example of a well optimized device which is a serious downgrade in specs compared to the Idol 3, but performs slightly better. I know because I own them both.
Still, what I was hoping for THE MOST with the Idol 3, since this is considered Alcatel's flagship model, were at least a couple of system updates. At least one for Lollipop 5.1.1.
However, now according to their official response, we're not getting that, not to mention something like Marshmallow 6.0.
I mean, even the Moto G is getting that for Christ's sake!
Very, very poor customer care. I was maybe even expecting this to some extent. But I was hoping that this brand wised up with this device.
However, Alcatel remains Alcatel, if you know what I mean. But hey, at least they were honest enough with the response.
So, there it is. Maybe this will be of some use for future buyers to think about.

P.S. I'm new to XDA and I'm posting this thread from the desktop but I can't find any option to attach the messages screenshots. If someone could tell me how to do that, that'd be great. Thanks.

I have tried everything, cleared the data, cache, uninstalled updates, fixed date and time, nothing works, any help

Part of the screen not responding to touch

As the title says part of my screen is not responding anymore and to make matters worse the part not responding is right on the home and recents keys

I tried:

• flashing another firmware

• deleting everything even the software

• flashing another rom

I know that i can use xposed and change the dpi or assign an alternative hardware button.

So my question is: Can i fix it without mendling with the hardware of my phone and without spending any money on a new screen?
Because when i try to press the button, it doesnt responds, it shows the touch feedback exactly above the button but when i try to open the camera from the lockscreen it opens without a problem

PS: I didnt drop it and I dont have warranty since I have the phone for 2 years now

How to stop touch sound

Hi all i have my new LG G4 but i want to know how to stop touch sound ?

Question regarding flashing of CWM Advanced Edition PhilZ Touch (6.43.8) recovery.

MY PROBLEM : When i wipe the dalvik cache before flashing a new rom, the following message shows "E:unknown volume for path [/sd-ext]", and i always get stuck in bootloop. So i have to reflash cwm(6.0.4.5)via odin. Even after reflashing, when i go in the recovery and again clear the dalvik, i get the same message ,and again,the device gets stuck in bootloop. So this means that everytime i have to flash a ROM , i will have to reflash the cwm via odin,because of the above mentioned error. I have got the following questions :
1) How can this issue be fixed? (I searched the q&a and the fix for the bootloop was given that reflash the cwm, but that didnt fix the E:unknown volume for path [/sd-ext] error)
2) Will flashing the latest philz recovery fix this error E:unknown volume for path [/sd-ext]??
3) If i flash the latest recovery by philz, will the nandroid backup of my stock rom made from my old cwm recovery 6.0.4.5 work with the philz recovery, or will i have to first restore the stock rom via cwm(6.0.4.5), update the cwm by flashing the philz recovery,then make a nandroid backup of my stock rom via the philz recovery?

How to turn off touch key lights in Samsung S advance i9070 F-aosp Custom rom

Anyway It is as the tittle says- How to turn off soft key/touch key lights on the custom rom F-aosp for Samsung Galaxy S advance i9070
I know that I should asked under the corresponding thread but due to Insufficient posts I couldn't. So if anyone know any way to turn off the touvh key lights pls let me know. I tried searching the settings for this but I couldn't find it. I want to do this because one of the touch key(which is the "back" key) does not light up because my touch panel is slightly broken. Everything else is fine with me.
So if anybody can, Pls Help Me :)

Android touch event raw input processing

What is the nature of touch handling for android? Is it device specific as different displays are used across devices? I am trying to find where exactly in the massive mess that is aosp I should look to find the code relevant to touch/gesture detection. Currently really frustrated with my nexus 9 as the touch detection is ****e. I turned on pointer mapping in the developer options and it appears that the moment you touch the display it tracks a point and waits to see if its a swipe or single touch. The travel needed to tell it that you are swiping is very substantial and it only seems to track 2 points for this large travel. The reason this is frustrating is that when you are writing with a stylus or what not, every letter must start with a straight line segment as it detects that you are just touching the display vs swiping. Handwriting degrades and writing small curves becomes nearly impossible. I would like to take a look at the code that handles this but can't seem to find an easy way to browse aosp. Don't even know if at this point it is a fault of the android system, the kernel, or just a hardware limitation. I appreciate any assistance

Screen broken & touch is dead, need to make a back

Screen is cracked, touch is not working, how can i back up folder from internal sd card without unlocking my screen(cant unlock it).
Tried to mount USB Storage from CMW didnt worked

Bottom left part of my touch-screen (left arrow forstep-back in browser) must be pushed very hard and even hardly works. The right arrow (for step-forward works with the slightest touch. I tried the very part of the touch-screen at keyboard screen, when wrting sms. No proble here, but always problem at browser as described before. Any idea? Or must replace the whole touch-screen?

Ubuntu Touch Dual Boot Help Please?!

Recently, i have purchased a generic Chinese smartphone to mess around with rooting on. so far, it has met all expectations, but there are a few things, such as the ubuntu touch dual boot apk that have really confused me. the required free space for the download and installation of U.T. is 2.5 Gb, plus an extra 370434532 Bytes. I have met this requirement, as far as i can tell, but it denies that i have. this is the part that confuses me, when i look in my storage, i have two different places for the internal, one titled "INTERNAL STORAGE", and the other "PHONE STORAGE". this is NOT including my inserted sd card. both has more than enough free space, the first having 5.50 GB free, the second having 7.84 GB free. as an added bonus, i may have broken my recovery, as it only loops if i try to boot in it. this is the only way the phone will let me do a restore, and as for fastboot, the computer never seems to register it. the phone is unfindable, as the brand is mpie, but the model is for the huawei p8, which it closely resembles. i have searched all over for info on this specific device, and cannot, for the life of me, find even one lead on it. can anyone help me?

I was looking for a way to change the touch sounds just like in the Glaxy A5, its like a tiny Tick sound which sounds very ear friendly.
If anyone knows what im talking about and knows how can i change it that will be awesome.

I Hope Samsung can put that into Samsung Theme store so you could change the sounds also.

Need Help :How to enable Capacitive Touch Buttons?

I have a new OPO with CM12.1 ( LP 5.1.1) , while setting up the phone for first time, i got the option of using Onscreen Buttons instead of Capacitive Touch Buttons . Which i selected . But now ,I want to get back to Capacitive Touch Button and thus want to disable the Onscreen Menu Buttons .
I could not find such option. Please help :crying:
