Note Edge or Note 4? Looking for input

Hi guys, I'm looking for input on my next phone. I've read through the edge vs note 4 threads but most are almost a year old so I'm looking for some updated info.

I currently have an S4 and have narrowed down my future options to the Edge and Note 4. I like the idea of having the edge screen but wondering if it's actually useful. Some comments in the old threads mentioned the lack of development for the Edge. Is that still true? I don't do anything crazy with my S4...It's rooted and I really like xposed and wanam. I haven't done ROMs or anything like that.

I guess my main question boils down to...can I root an Edge and have xposed? Is there anything else I should know about or take into account when evaluating the two phone options?

S6 Edge Random app crashes & reboots

Hi, I bought a Samsung S6 Edge used.. It was previously rooted and the knox counter was tripped...
I'm having some serious issues with it. From apps/google services to crash. It was previously rooted so I flashed the stock firmware on the phone. Even when I setup the phone (language and google accounts) some services crash... I can't recieve OTA Updates anymore because the status is set to custom and Triangle away does not work on S6's. I can't replicate anything to make a certain app crash, it's just random.. I need your help because i tried everything I could..
Stuff I did:
Flashed stock firmware (5.0.2)
Flashed an Update (5.1.1)
Factory reset and cache reset in boot loader.

after i try make new firmware (( G925FXXU1AOC1_G925FOJV1AOBL_XSG )) and (( G925FXXU1AOD4_G925FOJV1AOD4_G925FXXU1AOCZ )) and i see this message < sw rev check fail device 2 binary 1 > and ٍstop
now mobile can enter only downloading mode only cant open ...

My Galaxy Edge + does not have Google Services and Apps

So yesterday, i made the biggest mistake of buying a Galaxy Edge + (SM-G9280) from China, which of course does not have Google Services and Google Apps (didn't know before i bought it),. Even when i tried to Create my Google Account from Settings, to Sync my Calendar and Contact, Google Account was not there.

Now i searched around and Downloaded Gapps 5.1.1, but when i tried to install Google Services Framework it said "App Not Installed".

Now I am not the tech guru, and haven't played with phones before, and the phone really worth nothing to me without the google services.

Can anyone Pleaseeeeeeee help me fix this?

S6 edge plus wifi issues

Hey everyone,

Just bought a galaxy s6 edge plus on Sunday. It's a good phone hardware wise but I've been having an issue with the wifi on the phone. My wireless connection is fine as everything else works on it and my phone has the issue on every wifi connection. For some reason the internet works fine until about ten minutes goes by and then the speed will slow to literally a crawl. I've factory restored, cleared the cache, changed my dns and pretty much everything imaginable to fix this. Any ideas? Id hate to take it back since I just paid for a screen protector

hey fellas i have a question, im looking for a new device but i cant choose between nexus 6p or galaxy s6 edge+

from what i know and readed/compared

pro's:
*great battery
*dual facing stereo speakers

cons:
*overheating snapdragon 810
*plain design
*not that good of a camera yet it bulks out of the phone
*13 mp cam may be happy if it reach 12.7 mp
*no wireless charge
*no nfc

galaxy s6 edge+
pro's
*nice design
*fast cpu less heating
*1440p amoled 5.7" screen
*good headphone amp
*2 year warranty
*nfc
*wireless charge

cons:
*weaker battery then nexus 6p
*still using usb 2.0 instead 3.0 or 3.1, so the problem is fast phone but no outways, slow data transfer over usb,
*bloating
*32-7=25gb storage, whatfor 7gb is used i don't know, i assume 2gb for android but what is the left over 5gb

but still both are nice phones and same price wave, i don' t know what to choose, maby there are beter phones out there don't know about them yet
i want to multipurpose use my phone for games, movies (mkv 1080p 10bit flac ass, anime fansubs), music, taking good pics not blurry exc.., custom rom / android / root and stuff like archidroid iwhen possible

WIFI Calling not working TMO Edge latest Firmware

All the experts, I am having where when I click on Wifi calling, it says Enabling and just sits there and does nothing all greyed out
Even moved closer to my WIFI router to see if that fixes the problem but to no avail
I am on Galaxy s6 Edge, TMO, Latest Firmware, Unikernal Root, with .latest XPOSED
I can not seem to get WIFI Calling to work
Please advise what I need to do to fix this if possible .......short of clean re-install
Remember I am rooted so I can go in and make changes you tell me to do if that will fix it all

Why is there not an AT&T Galaxy S6 Edge forum?

Sorry if it has been answered, but I saw that there are specific forums to this phone for Verizon and T-Mobile, but no for AT&T.
Is there a particular reason?

Any help would be great guys. I currently have a s6 edge on att but looking to switch to T-Mobile. I love my s6e but since I'm switching and have an option on changing devices on intertaining the note 5.

I never owned a note line always had galaxy series. Is it too big and gauky in your pocket. Is it comfortable to hold to your ear? Is the spen actually something you use?

Any pros and con's would be great.

I have a galaxy s6 edge and it doesn't go pas the blue screen with the a white triangle note, "an error has occurred while updating the device software. use the emergency recovery function in the smart switch pc software"

i try doing this but the smart switch doesn't reconize my phone.

I also tryde to use odin to use the software from sammobile for my phone but that gives a fail.

what can i do?

bricked Galaxy s6 edge sprint

Few days ago tried to update my galaxy to 5.1.1. from 5.0.2, just succesfully. Than i installed TWRP and Wicked firmware and from SuperSu downloaded binary for root and restated my phone. It was a last moment i have seen it booted. After that i tried so many times to flash every firmware(original for sprint) in the XDA and Odin failed. Recovery doesnt work and phone doesnt boot at all, Just download mode. Have i any chance to ressurect it?
thats what he saying while trying to boot: Kernel is not seandroid enforcing custom binary locked by FRP lock(this is what blocking flashing)

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Sm-G925V/Sm-G925R6

Hi i have a Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Sm-G925R6 that im trying to return back to stock firmware.
The phone is from a cell phone service provider called CellCom out in Wisconsin. Cellcom uses Verizons towers to get LTE out in rural areas of Wisconsin
I purchased the phone and thought it would be an easy fix returning back to stock. The previous owner did not know what he was doing as he loaded the rom and forgot to make a back up of his Stock Firmware

The full model number of the phone is Sm-G925RZWALRA
which from my understanding the last 3 letters "LRA" stands for LTE in Rural Areas

I am currently running CleanROM 1.5-Edge OE2 for the Verizon S6 edge with no issues besides having to sign back into my wifi
and all other Verizon Roms work fine on the phone as well.
Im currently using T-Mobile in Chicago on the phone with no issues and full LTE speeds working
But i would like to use The android pay app as sometimes i am forgetful and tend to forget my wallet. And with custom roms the android version can not be verified

I have tried using the stock firmwares for verizon both 5.1 and 5.0.2 to try to return the phone to stock but it fails in odin.
I have also tried using US Cellulars Stock firmware since theyre model number the galaxy s6 Edge is SM-G925R4 pretty similar to mine as mine is Sm-G925R6 but that has also failed in Odin.

I do like the debloated Rom but would rather have Android pay just in case of emergencies .

Need Verizon Update Assistant for S6 Edge

Can someone please upload the Verizon upgrade Assistant from their S6 Edge. I may be able to fix this soft brick with it since it won't connect to SmartSwitch at all. Tried different cables, and different PCs with different OS's it always says Unsupported Device no matter the combo! I began experiencing the infinite bootloop after using Odin to install 5.1.1 OG5 tar from http://forum.xda-developers.com/veri...-tars-t3191419. The process completes successfully but my device will not get pass the S6 Edge boot screen, even after multiple wipes! If someone can upload the install files from their Verizon Edge I would be internally grateful!

Galaxy S6 Edge plus, or 6P?

Hello all.
I have T Mobile jump on demand, and right now I have galaxy S6 Edge plus, but I have always used the nexus phone. Does anyone know if next nexus will be better than S6 edge plus? with this new jump from T Mobile, we have the option to do three changes, I love nexus phones, but S6 Edge plus is amazing. What do you think, nexus 6P, or S6 Edge Plus?

Is there any way or mod using root to have the edge screen display only instead of manually rubbing the screen to show the notification. I'm super stumped and really can't figure it out. If you have a trick, app or mod mod for root or whatever anything to acomplish this task?

Hello guys. I bought Galaxy S6 Edge using it about a week already. I wanted to know extended info in battery but it doesn't do anything when I press the graph which displays battery depletion. Any clues? I factory reset it even reflashed it from samsung smart switch.
