M factory image and user data

So sometime next week the M factory image will show up, but I can't seem to find a definitive answer on user data. Would it be best to erase/format user data before flashing the the factory image or is a person safe to leave the user data intact and flash everything but user data?

New Samsung user, where do I start?

Hello everyone, from my new Galaxy S6 Edge on Sprint. I've been with Sprint for 15 years and have been on Android since the HTC Hero. Every time a HTC fagship device on Sprint came out, it found its way into my pocket. I finally decided to jump ship from HTC and give Samsung a shot.

With the Samsung S6 Edge being my first Sammy device, there seems to be a lot I need to learn. Are there any tips or tricks that I should know?

I'm on a cross country drive and picked up the phone in Yakima WA last night. It will be several days before I have access to a PC, so when my trip ends in Wisconsin. I want to have everything researched on how to root and install TWRP.

First of all is this KNOX thing something I should be concerned for? What is the go-to method for root? Best Buy ran the BOI1 update on me yesterday. Is there a one click root available? Anything special needed to know for installing TWRP?

I am having a problem with my yuphoria regarding wifi i.e.,my phone is not recieving proper signals :crying:
I called at the service centre and they sent me a mail which said that it is a software and you need to flash the stock rom again! So is anyone facing this similar problem ! I have the indian version!
Is there any way to get out of this problem!:confused:

Note 3 User - thinking of changing to Moto X Play

are there any moto x play user who previously have owned a note 3? my contract is allowing me to get several phones but the only one id think is "ok" to change my note 3 to, would be the moto x play.

im anxious about the lag issues and some people saying that the adreno gpu 405 isnt really supporting 1920x1080 screens..

would love some insight on other peoples experiences~

Seeking Custom ROM for N7000 with multi user function

Hi there,

i want to use my old Samsung Galaxy Note as Tablet for my little daugters. To protect the Phone (and also my daughters), i want use the multi user feature to be able to install Apps with my accounts and let her start only less alowed apps.

I always try some Custom ROMS with Android 4.2 or higher. But all of them without the Multiuser feature.

Could anybody provide me the name of a Custom ROM that provide the multi user function ? I found a old thred, that Revolt should support that. But the Version of the Revolt ROM that i found, was without this feature.

Submit an existing picture to app that only lets me user cameras to post photos

I have this app that only lets me post a photo that I TAKE NOW, but I have already saved photos I want to post. How can I send the app those photos instead when it opens the camera app?

Is there some way to override/hack the intent, or declare that a file manager is a Camera type of app, or something like that?

Bought LG Leon (LG H342F) recently and its my first LG phone.
I'm used to Samsung devices and now i wanted a nice device with 4g.
I'm pretty familiar with rooting, flashing and recovery in general.
In Samsung we have Odin and sites like Sammobile to download and flash stock firmware if anything goes wrong. LG have any kind of tools like Odin and Sammobile ?
Another thing, All LG bootloaders comes unlocked ? the LG itself unlock it via their sites ? like Motorola do.

sm-n900v note 3 user needing help

Hello all, i have a Verizon note 3 model sm-n900v, im running lollipop v5.0 stock ROM from Verizon update, i have a few questions that i need help with
1. i need root access to use some apps that require root, i know there is no working root method for the v5.0 update right now, i don't care about the Knox counter if i trip it or not, i just want root access,
2. is there any way to flash a rom that has root access ? if so whats a good rom to try ?
3. i want to be able to use my note 3 on straight talk service, i looked at the APN settings and its greyed out, so i cant add any APN's to the list, can this be done with a new rom?
4. how can i tell if my note 3 is locked ? my wife has a galaxy s5 through a different carrier named Appalachian Wireless and i took her sim card out and put it in my phone and made a call to our home phone and
her number was shown on the caller id, so i know i can use sim cards from that company, but what about straight talk?
any help with these questions would be great, thanks in advance

Can I access user data on my phone that can no longer mount efs, system, cache, etc.

My Galaxy Note 2 decided to reboot this morning but failed to get past the logo. Entering recovery mode, I am greeted with messages such as:

and I am unable to successfully boot my phone.

At this point I am less concerned about fixing the whole phone. The issue is I haven't been using an SD card and I haven't backed up in a while so before I attempt to fix it, is there any way I can get this phone into a state where I can access my data via my computer and salvage it?

My rom was stock + root (Mr. Robinson), no custom recovery and I only have access to Macs at the moment.

User interface crash

Hi all. Just bought a grand prime from T-mobile Hungary. Sometimes my screen just randomly freeze the notifications appear on lockscreen bugged the app preview doesnt show up app in the screen, notifications area dissapear etc.. I bringed to the service they reinstalled 5.1.1 lollipopp and recalibrated the phone but the problem show up again again... I restart the phone and it's work well for 1 day or sometimes only a half. They gimme back the phone said the problem doesn't show up for them (yeah they will not gonna log in to there facebook acc and start using get notifications, emails, play music etc...), but i started using and nothing changed. I returned to the service 2nd time they did the same thing but nothing changed again. I can't explain in words i didn't even find any problems like this please check the photos on my google drive. Not using harmless app only facebook, messenger, viber and play music.

Is there any way to post my drive folder link.... The forum dont let me do this and u guys will can't see the problem.

This is really bothering me now i mean i have searched and found nothing surely someone has had this irritable problem.

Well i bought a nexus 9 for my daughter upon factory reset android 5.1.1 i can not seem to add a picture (made the account fresh) in the user profile it just got a silhouette of a person in blue. How on earth do i change that picture i have tried to log into the same google account on my PC as it lets me change mine but when i log in with my daughters the picture icon is not their to change it..

again how on earth do i change this i tried google email google plus and i can not see an option their but i did manage to see a picture setting in google mail and sized it but it still does not show the picture.

Hi,
after some test with some bumped images on boot i receive this warning: "warning current version is not available for user. can't find matched cust for NT-code mcc/mnc[], subset[]"
Already searched on forum but seems nobody have empty bracket (mcc/mnc[], subset[]) like me.
Another fact is that even if i revert to kitkat with unbrick method (http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2772199) restoring stock rom, when i made upgrade again to lollipop with lg pc suite the warning returns.

My phone is a LG G3 32 no brand italy, i would like to remove this warning.
