WiFi Tethering problem on NightOwl CM11

Hi everyone,
I have only just gotten on to the forums with my GT-N7000 as it was finally getting on top of me running like a dog.
Having read a number of threads it is amazing to see huge amount of work everyone's been doing. Congratulations, it's truely amazing!

After reading I chose bauner's Night Owl CM11 final ROM to upgrade to:

What a pleasure- it's like I have a new phone again, with a LOT more funcitonality!

Everything is working like a dream and I'm once again a happy camper until I realised, just before a presentation, that my tethering didn't work.... although it looked like it does.
I've seen that there have been a number of people reporting this issue on other ROMs but wanted to ask if it is a known bug on the NightOwl final and if there is a fix.

Thanks again guys, your hard work has just allowed me not to need to claim for a new phone off the NPO I work for here in South Africa .

One M9 EE WiFi Calling - RUU?

I'm with EE in the UK but bought my M9 through Caroline Warehouse & as a result it is running software directly from HTC but sim locked to EE. I was excited to see WiFi calling enabled for the M9 but found out it is limited to devices bought directly from EE as the function is baked directly into their firmware & not an additional app like some other networks...

My hope is that someone on here has an EE branded M9 that they can share the ROM or nandroid backup from, or that there is an RUU floating around out there that I can flash to my phone!

I currently have a stock, unrooted device but signal is so poor at mine & my family's houses that Wi-Fi calling is my only solution short of changing network!

Any help or pointers would be greatly appreciated :)

wifi doesn't work on padfone 2

Hello! after i have bricked my telephone, i was able to repair it, and i re install the lastest firmware, all works, but no wifi!!!! i think it's a software's problem.. it see the networks, i try to connect, but nothing, only "connecting" , and stop.. how can i solve it? i have changed some firware, uffical and rom.. re install the wifi driver? but how? thanks..

I am considering purchasing the international Edge + instead of the Tmobile version in the United States because it is much less expensive on Amazon.

Tmobile suppports wifi calling, but would it work on the international version of this phone?

[GUIDE] [How To] Change IMEI number and WiFi MAC Address in Yuphoria

Requirements:
1. Rooted Yuphoria phone
2. Xposed Framework (How to Install Xposed Framework)

Steps:

1. Install the app: Phone ID IMEI Changer

2. Open Xposed Installer, select 'Modules' and activate the module and reboot the phone.

3. Open the Phone ID Changer app and change the IMEI number & MAC Address as required.

Note:
Using this method, the IMEI number and MAC address is not permanently changed.
If Xposed is disabled or if app is uninstalled, the original IMEI is restored.

Wifi wont turn off

I noticed that after disabling/turning off Wifi, it still stays on and consumes battery, although Wifi icon shows switched off in notification and settings section. Restarting phone helps and WiFi finally switches off, however I do not want to restart phone every time when I want to switch off WiFi.
Does anyone have this problem and how ro resolve it?
My phone is in latest version on android 5.1.1 and on previous version I did not have such problems.

Will it support T-Mobile WiFi Calling?

Will it support T-Mobile Wi-Fi Calling? I know Android M supports WiFi calling natively but will the carriers (T-Mobile in particular) need to do anything to allow it?
WiFi calling is very useful to me at home where cell signal is very poor.

S6 edge plus wifi issues

Hey everyone,

Just bought a galaxy s6 edge plus on Sunday. It's a good phone hardware wise but I've been having an issue with the wifi on the phone. My wireless connection is fine as everything else works on it and my phone has the issue on every wifi connection. For some reason the internet works fine until about ten minutes goes by and then the speed will slow to literally a crawl. I've factory restored, cleared the cache, changed my dns and pretty much everything imaginable to fix this. Any ideas? Id hate to take it back since I just paid for a screen protector

Help HTC One M8 problems on boot & WiFi

hello I need your help, I have my htc one m8 like a brick and wifi for having no lights flashed a kernel modficado, this problem also happens to me with an eye htc desire, there some solution for unbirck cell? I tested with RUU and they tell me Error # 120 on the phone battery is below 30%, but the battery is charged to 100% pass this because I have Windows 10 ?, I read that Windows 10 gives problems with some RUU

My problem statement:
1. HTC One M8 is currently in boot loop. It boots approximately around 6 to 7 times and then enters to normal operation. This happens everytime i reboot.
2. WiFi is greyed. unable to "On" the Wifi. Still i can use my data through my SIM card.


I have also HTC Desire eye with the same problem and I can not return to factory, this seems a nightmare :/

WIFI Calling not working TMO Edge latest Firmware

All the experts, I am having where when I click on Wifi calling, it says Enabling and just sits there and does nothing all greyed out
Even moved closer to my WIFI router to see if that fixes the problem but to no avail
I am on Galaxy s6 Edge, TMO, Latest Firmware, Unikernal Root, with .latest XPOSED
I can not seem to get WIFI Calling to work
Please advise what I need to do to fix this if possible .......short of clean re-install
Remember I am rooted so I can go in and make changes you tell me to do if that will fix it all

Wi-Fi hotspot and VPN

I'd like to use my phone tho share my 3G/4G internet connection but behind a VPN server. If I set a VPN service on my phone it works without problem but if I try to enable wifi hotspot and I try to connect a device it doesn't work.

Is there a way to connect a device via my phone hotspot connected to a VPN?

My phone is rooted.

Weird WiFi issues

Whenever I'm on WiFi I seem to be connected fine and can surf the web usually. Sometimes it just hangs their even though it has strong signal. This is when it gets weird every time I turn off my WiFi I get flooded with notifications. I'm running the latest version of blisspop

Wanam Xposed for lollipop module breaks wifi calling

I lost my wifi calling on ramified-V3. Didn't know exactly when. By restoring and installing tracked it down to Wanam Xposed module. You can read about fix here.

Bluetooth will not turn on, WiFi works, Factory Reset didnt help

Hi Guys

TLDR
1) Bluetooth wont turn on, but wifi works
2) Factory Reset to 5.1.1 , 5.0, 4.4.x doesn't help


My Nexus 5 refuses to turn on Bluetooth only. The slider moves to the right and then back again. I have factory reset the phone 3 times, flashing different versions from 5.1.1, 5.0 and 4.4.x to see if it fixes the problem, but I have had no luck. I know some other people have had problems too, but there doesn't seem to be a clear solution. I don't know if it is a hardware issue, since wifi works fine and the wifi and Bluetooth antennas are one unit located on the back cover( according to my understanding). I tried replacing the back cover from a different nexus 5, but still couldn't get Bluetooth to work.

WIFI not working after flashing custom rom

The wifi is not working. I was not able to connect to my D-Link 868L router. I notice that the mac address of the wifi adapter is now 00:00:00:00. Btw, to check that my phone's wifi was still working, I flashed back the stock rom and it could work.

How can I resolve this? Would appreciate some help.

Anyone else having slow WiFi connection speeds?

I have been having issues with my phone where it seems to get VERY slow speeds on my home WiFi.

All other devices get very high speeds (eg. Laptop 300+ Mbps, OneplusOne 105Mbps, Nexus 5 60Mbps, Nexus 7 70Mbps).

My Moto X Pure though, for some reason, often gets very unstable speeds varying from 5Mbps to 40Mbps. There is rare occasion when it gets full speeds of 160+ Mbps, but not often.

Anyone else experiencing awkward slowness? It sucks when updating larger apps.

Q: Moto G CM12.1 WIFI problem

I recently unlocked the bootloader and ect and I decided to install CM12.1, today I got a notification of an update (new CM12.1 rom) so I did so. I noticed that my WIFI is really slow!!!!!!!!!!! Like really slow. When I had stock rom my WIFI was fast, I would be able to watch 720p vids on YouTube with no buffering. Now with CM12.1 when I try to watch a 720p video it buffers ALOT I have to watch it in 360p instead. U guys got an idea of what is the issue is?

This is a real disappointment. Granted it will eventually be added (hardware is already there, just isn't certified on T-Mo yet) but Band 12 support is the the biggest reason I want this phone. T-Mo inside of building is basically non-existent to the point I've considered changing carriers. My 6p doesn't arrive for a few weeks but I may cancel the pre-order before then because of this news.
