[Q] KNOX Bricked Samsung Galaxy S4 Bricked + Odin won't work

So I forgot to freeze/remove KNOX from my S4 when I flash CWM recovery. I ended up with the "System software not authorized by AT&T has been found on your phone" message. I tried to download the firmware from Samsung and flash it with Odin, but Odin failed to work. Right now my phone is a useless brick and nothing I can find has any effect. Is there a way to remove KNOX or change my recovery back to stock? How do I make Odin work properly?

Odin related

Hai .
I went to samsung support and due to issue with my s6 battery they installed with software or firmware in my mobile using odin . But they installed lower version of it not latest. I want to upgrade s6 with latest version so i downloaded
this firmware or software from samfirmware NPL-G920IDVU2DOI2-20150921115810.zip .

I have some question like this :
Will it damage my warranty?
How do completely wipe all my data from odin ? What should i tick ?
Will it brick my mobile?
Will it trip knox?

Thanks :)

Need Odin root for SM-T807A (ATT)

I picked up a used tablet with a broken screen and managed to get some parts swapped out and get it booting.. but it hangs at the boot logo.. The original donor was supposed to have been rooted but may have been soft bricked.

Thinking I can odin the kernel and OS to the latest version (or even stock ATT kernel and OS).

I downloaded/installed Odin 3 v1.85 and the pit that comes with it is u1_02_20110310_emmc_EXT4

anyone have a pit and bin or tar that I can use to either reload to stock or better yet, load the latest/best kernel and version of android. I'd prefer root, but I'm ok with stock/clean wipe/reload of everything.

I can get it to boot to download mode if there's another way in (download.zip?).. but I can't get into the OS to do anything other then 'factory wipe' and it just hangs at the logo. (waited for a day)

I've never used this type of tablet before (familiar with the nexus, note, etc..) so maybe it's even hardware locked. Appreciate any input you can offer. The tablet is a Frankenstein of parts or I'd take it in for service.. pretty sure that's not covered under warranty..

Galaxy Tab S root - odin - pc - stuck in reboot

I picked up a used tablet from a friend who had a tablet stuck in reboot..

it's a AT&T tablet that he tried to root..

SKU 6619A (10+ inch)

I'd like to just use ODIN and wipe the whole tablet and start over with root and a custom recovery/basic rom. I'm new to this brand of tablet.. but I imagine TWRP works or something similar.

Suggestions on the version (and link) of Odin I should use and the best ROM that will give me a basic load, custom recovery and latest version of Android would be appreciated.

I can't boot into the OS.. so using some of those tools isn't an option at this time.

I'm not going to be using ATT network for anything (the SIM card is actually removed). I just want wifi access on it. I'm not going to use any service provider. I could probably take it to a ATT store, but since I'm not using their network (I use sprint) I'm not sure if they'll want to charge me to wipe/reload it, if they'll do it at all.

Softbricked my phone, flashed official OG6 firmware with Odin. What can I do now?

Reading threads since I've flashed the official OG6 firmware I'm guessing I can't downgrade to anything lower now? Is it still possible?

I've installed HispAsian's Trap kernel to gain root, and installed TWRP but there's only one OG6 rom as far as I can tell (Maverick 5.1.1) and it bricks my phone for some odd reason. I'd really just like a debloated OG6 version and I'd be happy but I can't find anything. Should I downgrade to OF6 just so I can install a rom? Are there other OG6 roms out there I don't know about?

Also I'm assuming since there's knox on OG6 that's why I keep getting the notification that "Unauthorized actions have been detected. Restart your phone to undo any unauthorized changes.". I'm scared to restart my phone because I don't know what that'd do.

I'm sorry if this is newbish or self-apparant but I'm pretty confused when it comes to Samsung phones. The other android phones I've had before were very straightforward.

Noob question: Reinstalling Rom using ODIN?

So, I'm not really a Noob, just really out of practice and trying to install a custom ROM on my wife's Sprint s5 sm-g900p.

Here's what happened:
1) I rooted the phone
2) Installed TWRP
3) Made sure everything worked fine
4) Downloaded a custom ROM and placed on the External SD Card
5) Booted into TWRP and did an advanced Wipe
6) Made the Noob mistake of also wiping the External SD Card (oops)

So...
7) I downloaded [ROM][ODIN]SM-G900P NE5 (NE5 Modem/Kernel/Bootloader/ROM - Full Restore - Unrooted) from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/spri...ernel-t2805319

8) I followed the instructions and began the firmware re-installation after pulling the battery for 10 seconds and booting into Download mode..

9) Odin response: FAIL!

Question:
Anyone have any idea how I can put another ROM on this phone to make it usable again?

Thanks

Factory Reset my S6 with Odin No Network!

I rooted with ping pong root, followed these guides to do my "OTA" updates:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-...pdate-t3156221
http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-...pdate-t3181135

Then I used this file with Odin, to factory reset:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/att-...g920a-t3103835

Now it seems to have factory reset it but it says I have no IMEI, network unknown, etc....

I am suspecting that its something to do with those updates I did and flashing the Modem drivers, which maybe need to be downgraded now? or if i can update my software somehow with a legit version?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Gavin

S4 Mini stuck on Boot loop and Odin keeps failing

Hey Guys,
A friend of mine has a S4 Mini Duo (I9192), she's not a tech person to put custom roms or root her phone in any way so this phone is purely stock. A couple of days ago her phone went completely dead (not powering on or charging) then after like a week of leaving it on the charger she picked it up one day and it turned on, but the phone is stuck in a boot loop (Samsung GALAXY s4 Mini Gt-I9192 screen --> vibrate --> S4 Mini GT - I9192 screen). I could get the phone to boot into recovery mode however when I do a wipe cache or even data/factory reset I get the following :
--Wiping Data...
Formatting / data...
E:format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/userdata
Formatting /cache..
E:format_volume: make_extf4fs failed on /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/cache
Data wipe complete.
When I try reinstalling the firmware on Odin It keeps failing as well.

I know this problem sounds unique so If anyone ever experience it and knows how to fix it i will really appreciate it as my friend loves this phone.

Thanks

G900A Odin Failed at boot.img

Model: G900A
Version: 4.4.4
Baseband: G900AUCU2AOA2

I'm trying to root my G900A via the instructions from muniz_ri thread. While flashing with Odin3 V3.10 I load G900A_ND3_Stock_Kernel into the AP and press start but freezes on boot.img forcing me to unplug and power off. Is it because its ND3 and not NG3. I found it weird that his kernels were in the S4 files and not the S5 files. Any ideas?

Is there an "odin tutorial"? (how to flash modem/radio with odin?)

I'm a bit (more than a bit) rusty on the ODIN tool, and was wondering if there was some kind of complete tutorial for it floating around. In particular, I'm wondering if I could use it to replace ONLY the radio/baseband for a device.

I have the AT&T firmware zip (containing files starting with "AP", "BL", "CP", and "CSC") and I'm wondering if I could use that to flash the AT&T modem on a n920c device. (And to use a proper n920c firmware set to get back to the n920c modem if flashing the AT&T one doesn't work out.)

(Why? I live in the US and have AT&T as a carrier. The AT&T provided modem most likely contains radio tweaks to optimize usage of AT&T towers.)

Bricked phone after trying to unroot, ODIN won't flash stock firmware

Hey guys,

this is my current situation: Phone is stuck in cyan screen with "An error has occurred while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software". I can't use Smart Switch because I was rooted and on "XtreStoLite Deo-Mod Edition 2.3" when the phone bricked. ODIN does recognize the phone. I used Odin3 v3.10.6.

What I did to brick it:
- Downloaded a firmware and tried to flash it to unroot the phone, following that guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...xy-s6-t3110608

Quote:

Model SM-G925F
Model name GALAXY S6 Edge
Country Germany
Version Android 5.1.1
Changelist 5599585
Build date Wed, 12 Aug 2015 08:11:31 +0000
Product code DBT
PDA G925FXXU2COH2
CSC G925FDBT2COH3

Since I was on "XtreStoLite Deo-Mod Edition 2.3" the device had the XXU2COH2 BL and stuff (I guessed)
- ODIN failed directly after NAND Write Start!!

<ID:0/003> NAND Write Start!!
<ID:0/003>
<ID:0/003> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)

What I tried to fix the problem:
- Flashing TWRP form http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...d-5-1-t3144866 --> Fails
-Flashing G925FXXU2COH2 stock firmware and G925FXXU2BOGB_G925FDBT2BOG8_DBT (from http://stockroms.net/file/GalaxyS6Ed...T2BOG8_DBT.zip)
- After finding this http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...guide-t3187655 and some other threads I removed the hidden.img from both firmwares I already tried, repacked them and flashed with ODIN.
---> modified G925FXXU2BOGB_G925FDBT2BOG8_DBT fails after flashing modem
----> modified G925FXXU2COH2 fails like this:

<ID:0/003> Initialzation..
<ID:0/003> Get PIT for mapping..
<ID:0/003> Firmware update start..
<ID:0/003> SingleDownload.

<ID:0/003>
<ID:0/003> Complete(Write) operation failed.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
<ID:0/003> Removed!!

Sooo.. according to the guide I mentionied I would need to flash pit and Stock firmware at once like this:

Quote:

1) Get your device to download mode by using this combo "VolumeDown-Home-Power"
2) Open an UP TO DATE ODIN.
3) Find the corresponding .PIT file for your S6 EDGE.
4) Find the corresponding stock rom for your S6 EDGE.
5) Then put them into odin CORRECTLY. Rom to "AP", .pit to PIT
6) Make Sure these are checked: "Re-partition","NAND all erase"
7) Plug your device in and then press start.

But I am not sure if this is the right thing to do. Also I don't know which of the provided pits for the SM-G925F I am supposed to use? http://forum.xda-developers.com/gala...load-t3171636/ Whats the difference between them? Aaaand I'm still not sure which firmware I should be flashing :(
I would really appriciate your help..

Sticker says i9300 but Odin mode says T999?

Hi guys, I'm looking for some help for my girlfriends S3. I have experience flashing many different types of android phones but this one is turning out to be a real pickle. I'll give you all the whole story so you can understand.

A couple days ago she said her phone battery was dying at an alarming rate, she would unplug at 100% and almost 30mins later it would be at 65%. Obviously I suspected a wakelock and I was right, Android System (or one of the android things) did indeed keep her phone awake for about 8hrs (end of the day) Yesterday when she tried to charge the phone an error message saying that the phone or battery was to hot and charging was not possible so her battery died. I got a spare from my cousin but this one has been lying idle for about a year.

When I try charging the battery with the phone off it indicates that it is almost full, when I try to start the phone the samsung logo comes up and I can see her home screen for about a second and then the phone switches off. Keep in mind that I can not start the phone with just the battery in it, it must be plugged in.

Here is the kicker too, she knows nothing about rooting, flashing etc. but on her phone I did see as if someone tried to install root (I'm not sure which method it is but someone definitely tried, maybe one of her nephews) A while back the phone getting another wakelock and I did a regular system reset hoping that everything would be wiped. The root file/app was still on the phone :/

Fast forward to yesterday when I said I'll try actually flashing the phone with odin. The sticker on the back says i9300 but when I go into odin mode I see the phone is a T999 and that the counter is 3. I ignored this and proceeded to reflash the i9300 recovery but presto I can't get into recovery mode anymore. I did download the T999 recovery also and I will flash that today and see if it works. So a couple questions:

1) Is this phone a i9300 or a T999

2) Is something wrong with the phone, given that the other battery does not start the phone or is it that battery has a problem as well.

3) How is it that she knows nothing about flashing but the binary counter is on 3.

Any help will be appreciated guys. Today I'll go to the store and see if I can get another battery and if the phone would boot.
